Good morning, happy time change ( though is there anybody here who lives in Province that doesn’t?
If you are feeling cold- I just heard on the radio that Nunavut has -21, so everything is relative.
We won’t get beyond the single digits here either.
My cat has been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, so she is now getting treated with special food. Hopefully, that will do it, as she sucks at taking pills- and food she wood eat voluntarily. Otherwise, she is doing fine.
With Secret Santa around the corner, I had to think of Seeler. She / they cat sitted her once. Seelerman loved my cat and played with her a lot. Wondering how he is doing. Do you still see him in church, @Luce NDs ?
I sorted my Christmas gift stash yesterday and noticed I only have some hard-to- gift people left. I would like to be done as December starts, to have time for other things. I bought a ticket for a dinner theatre as a gift for my best friend- she loves Hallmark movies and the play is a parody of Hallmark movies.
Time change didn’t work for me, could not sleep in, even though the cat didn’t wake me.
Enjoy the weekend, everyone, there is fresh coffee in the room for others who are up early.

Good morning! Coffee, decaf or high octane, tea, and their connection with sleeping well, dinosaur dreams, annoying seat belt alarms, and all the other stuff that pops up in conversations or thoughts, we carry them with us to the Coffee Cart, for discussion, support, venting, or whatever, along with tea, coffee and brownies and squares of various types. May this Cart ever be a sign of friendship and community for all. All is ready, and all are welcome. Come anf join the conversations!

Back north to help my folks prepare for winter. Today is about cutting down some dead trees for firewood. I'm not a lumberjack, but I'm okay.

We'll trim a bunch of dead branches as well. Zach loves clearing branches. He has a designated pile for them. This year, I told him I'd teach him to use the pole saw, but only if he's responsible with it. Today could get interesting.

Got my snows on today.
I took my wife's snow tires down from the rack and decided they potentially weren't up to the task this year. I'm coaching, so we may need to split up and drive in opposite directions. Plus I think Claire may take over that car in a couple of years. No sense in waiting.

@KayTheCurler is in Saskatchewan, which doesn't. I think she is the only one from there. Ontario has a law on the books but it is conditional on Quebec and the neighbouring US states changing so we aren't out of sync with our neighbours, at least the ones we do a lot of business with.

Good morning! I need to get tires booked but every time I think that this year, temps shoot up again. Chilly weekend, though.

The car my son has now was actually bought because its predecessor didn't have enough legroom for him (6'3"). Never actually anticipated it would be his car someday, but he needed to be able to drive our cars to learn.

If certain brute powers get in place the time change may no longer be an enigma ... we'll all be on Russian Poyang time ... and then the thing will end ... Timaeus? Where does time go when depleted? Quantum question ... dt'z ... time eggs on ...

Not a problem with Claire. She's remarkably average in every way.

Think we're hitting the University of Guelph open house tomorrow. I'm not in favour of her going to a university for farmers, but perhaps if she's rejected from everywhere else...

They have their merits but if you're not doing agriculture or veterinary, not sure there's much to commend them for anything else. Pretty middle of the pack other than those specialties. Guelph is a nice little city, or was in my youth (being from Kitchener, we went there from time to time).

I used to live in a region that didn't switch to daylight savings time. It was actually quite nice. The BC Peace Region either chose not to be part of DST or stopped. I can't remember.

i don't want to derail the h1n1 thread, but, anyone remember Ed the Sock? Don't remember what channel he was on, but, he was on late at night, and i would watch him when i came home from a late night out

Think for one place he used to be on CITY TV in Toronto

That's where I encountered him, too. Think he popped up on other properties of theirs like MuchMusic, too. The world's most crude, obnoxious sock puppet, but he could be pretty funny, too.

Wow - there is a saw I've never heard of. I know chain saw, swede saw, jig saw, fret saw, cross cut saw, table saw, hack saw, circular saw, mitre saw, hack saw, coping saw, never heard of pole saw!
