Then man is like a stone ... an anchor that cannot change .. relatively unlearned as a consequence!

Has anyone noticed the world changing towards better as a consequence of brutal piousness? I didn't believe so either ... thus I am an outlier according to the paradigm curve ... I an nothing to them and thus can go places their valued shells restrict! Nothing is like that ...

My grandfather had impressions of nothing that ring in my sol ... like Mike ole ... where the light escapes! Did you know that Michael was one of the primal angels? Kind ove Levite ... right ... nothing left of heh!

Modern Christianity cannot even grasp the bones of such myths ... all hidden in the past tales ... them are tacked to the Wahl ... abstract barrier? Some say thick but there is this peculiar essence ... unbelievable how we could know nothing ... correct? These may appear as closed circles ... hostile and violent to anything fresh and clear ... that's the dirt on closed shops and other guilds! All smelly Eire ... Dan, did you get that? Could be a green tree ... Pr IHC! Fodder for thought that goes on ... out of here and now ... let us chew on that a bit ...

This Christmas, just as in every Christmas, I'll be preaching that the Christmas stories from the Bible are 100% literally true. I expect I'll shock none of my listeners when I do so.
Not many people will challenge the minister during a sermon on Sunday.

Paranoia is like a perambulator ... the beginnings of ambulation ... limits are good in the initiation! The the break out for the grand reap age ... light cometh not ... but doth go ... when fed up with the darkness of midnight son ET ... cover for the covenant? Such functions are virtue unseen ... good things that are mind blowing ... and then pass! Could there be consequence? Only if you have onus Tai ... a connection like Tye? Other myths are cranked out also ... just because they can ... given they don't abide in the guides! Encompassed in the nothing experience ... how mental process departs as a flying thought ... wingers !

These may come in parse ...

First off, I'd like to be a fly on the wall for that Zoom meeting. :) @Nancy sometimes bruising beliefs can lead to questions which aren't bad things. Blind faith is rather shallow after all.

"Then Jesus told him, 'You believe because you see me. ·Those who believe without seeing me will be truly blessed [L Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed].'” - John 20:29 (EXB)

I think we're in for some sun today. What a novel experience. :) That being said, it was bright enough to require sunglasses at one point yesterday.

I think I mentioned that my friend who had chosen MAID didn't go through with it. She's in hospice now and not expected to live much longer. It really makes me think that MAID really is a sign of our fear of death. That's though, a topic for another thread. I might bring it up there too.

Routine doctor's appointment today. I really appreciate that he will continue to see me at the clinic. My drug protocol is funded through the drug company rather than the province, so he apparently doesn't have to do that. I really appreciate that. I'll be missing some of our crafter group at the park this afternoon. I'll drop in after for the last part. There's been a great group this year so far.

Probably not if they know you like we do.

Challenge is more likely at coffee hour or by follow up email, from what I hear.
That's interesting, p3. I'll be attentive to that. It hasn't happened for me yet. Often I'm asked questions after I preach, requests for more information on something, or when someone hadn't understood a word that I'd used, but I wouldn't say I've ever been challenged

That's part of why I ended up UU. Challenging and questioning the preacher is the norm and discussion is even built into the service in some cases. The role of the preacher is not so much to impart timeless wisdom as to get people thinking.

That's why I've stayed with the UCCan. I like that the view us that we all have our journey of faith and that we can do it together. I like that we can ask questions and aren't generally told what to believe.

My great-grandfather was a Free Methodist who used the Bible as a weapon. I never met the man. His legacy though, does live on. Many of us who are his descendents have zero tolerance to dogma and theological bullying.

I've been curious about the UU. We seem to have a thriving UU here.

Oh yeah.

The church that i felt i couldn't partake in was doing alpha, minister was a hard-no on many std uccan items
Successfully fought to keep "Alpha" out of the Baptist church I used to attend in Toronto. Instead, we ran an excellent course out of England called "Christianity Explored." It went really well and we repeated and repeated it
