Junior A. Is getting bloodwork tomorrow. Has to- his wife is rhesus negative and they have to find out what the baby will be. He has a needle phobia- so this is big for him. She is 20 weeks now.

My obstetrician did not care what my husband's blood type was

Her posture was that people like. Didn't matter what i said

I had to have the treatment just in case
 
Thinking of the Jr A family tomorrow. Hard to have to confront your fears, no matter how good the cause.

Really tired today. I don't love this yearly descent into the tunnel.

Yeah, I am not exactly sure how the blood type is determined, after all, don’t grandparent’s genes play a role too?
I read 80% of babies are positive, so she might end up having it done anyway.
 
By funny, I meant funny odd.

Also, i typed like instead of lie.
Basically she would not have had your son tested, as there would be no guarantee he is the dad, in the doctors eyes.

The risk of someone lying,however small, was enough to cause her to presume the biological dad was positive.
 
It's nice that they can check now when mom is rhesus negative and have good ways to respond if the baby is rhesus positive.

I'm working on a sweater I started ages ago. I'm almost to the rib around the bottom and going down a needle size for the ribbing is an option. Can I find that needle??? Nope. In my search, I found a scrappy shawl I'm working on. It will be donated to the church prayer shawl basket. When I finish this round on the sweater I'll set it aside while I figure out what I want to do. I do suspect I'll have to buy a needle. Aw shucks, that would mean a visit to the great yarn store in town. :)
 
Well I've set aside the sweater and am knitting the shawl. I had to go looking for the pattern in my phone. I found it and remember why I stopped knitting it. I'm using sharp needles. I was taking a medication that caused blisters to form easily. I got a blister on the tip of my right index finger. A most inconvenient spot. I'll be fine with it now.
 
An update. Ten years ago here I wrote...

"Here's a snapshot of my life right now...

Joy - my wife made me my lunch for seminary today - her delicious fried rice and garlic fiddleheads.
Challenge - I'm overdue in handing in two papers for seminary - one on prayer - and a spiritual theology.
Celebration - I rejoice over my youngest Canadian niece confirming her faith this past Sunday in the UCCanada.
Concern - The Ontario provincial election is tomorrow - I hope the right people get in.
Everyday bit - I'm eating both a cinnamon roll and a muffin for breakfast this morning."

So what happened?

Joy - my wife and I are still together. She sometimes still makes me lunch. Her food's still delicious. I graduated from seminary with my MDiv and my wife and I now live and work in South Korea. One of my jobs is as a pastor at a Presbyterian church. At the time I was in seminary I was a Baptist.
Challenge - I don't have to do papers for seminary any more. Just reports on EFL students, and sermons for church. My latest EFL reports are due at the end of October, and my latest sermons this coming Sunday.
Celebration - My youngest Canadian niece is now married. I'm not sure if she's still attending church or not.
Concern - The American federal election is in a couple of weeks. I'd love to see many, many Americans reject their ballots.
Everyday bit - This morning for breakfast I ate cinnamon almond cereal

I suppose medical procedures change over the years. I am O negative and my partner O positive. My doctor checked my partner's blood type on his health info. He had it recorded on some official paper for some reason too.
I got regular blood checks for antibodies. I did create some but not to a dangerous level. Following the birth I got a shot that brought the risks to next baby back down to a safe level. Turned out to be unnecessary as the next one was O negative.
She had no notable difficulties with her two babies.

Is this contrary to the initial arrangement? Then some do appear to be born without ... a rhesus enigma ... mon que 'n around ...

Some folk find this empowering ... messing things up ... and then as reaction ... an opposing spin! How many wheels? Damn that's ludicrous ...

Then if your back off at a point and observe silently ... get it? God rests ... don't disturb that creature of vindictive nature ... be onus! That's responsible ... temptation can prove to you who's in charge ... the essence of power ... when nothing remains but the smoke and pall ... extorted gases?

Continuing to get our house ready for our seven month old grandson who is a climber and loves playing with electrical cords and receptacles. Meeting B at the bus station in Ottawa at 16:40 this afternoon. She is having a great visit with our friend in Toronto.
 
Does the real world build itself on bubbles? Imagine if matter was mostly empty space ... damn have we got an inadequate impression?

Then there's that ballad about tiny once ... one's? Mono's ... what can a person put in there? Anything as long as it is not intellectual ... that is rejected by great wills ... learning is a pain! Do you know the Latin name for will ... he made puppets ...
