Room For All

Welcome to Wondercafe2!

A community where we discuss, share, and have some fun together. Join today and become a part of it!

We have smoke also ... franc smoke as if Charlemagne was smouldering ...

My summer wandering will include travelling out into the trees in the back yard with a beer or two and some books to add to abstract ventures ... maybe one on Moore hall and degraded morals ... yes it is a word like Yah-Yah Girls that party ... soude as a horses hind! The the horse head shows up in the Mafiosi myths ...

No smoke here. Started out nice, overcast by noon, drizzle later. Not unpleasant weather for our wrap up potluck lunch at my co-chair's lovely property in the country, which includes a labyrinth. *sigh* Summer church potluck. 7-8 salads, at least one of them refreshed from the potluck lunch on Sunday, 1 meager tray of sandwiches that featured fake cheese, one small tray of buns, 2 desserts, both featuring rhubarb. I finally, two loaves later, got to try my banana rhubarb loaf, and it's, meh. Serves Edna right for thieving the first one on Sunday and putting it in the freezer for next Sunday.

Good morning! For rain in some places, for those still affected by fire and smoky air, for pot lucks with recycled pots, for all the other matters, big or small, that happen, we gather round the Coffee Cart in community and conversation and support. The coffee is ready, the tea water is hot, c'mon in and join in!

Not bothering me much now, perhaps due to the steroids, which according to new science may affect the fatty acids in my neuro system that opposed spontaneous urges to be best.

The greatest is going to be a target ... a function of humanity as it is deficient in some orders of MAG'n A TU'd ... if something takes ... something has to give unless its nothing ... then the result is ... well negative process ... what the high desires declare a downer ... a mental pits as in de me*n't got up and vanished because of hate for intellect ... thus lost cause ... see Spot go? Pixels ... little folk in Eire!

Imagine a six fingered beast that goes against itself ...would that bug yah or just an in sect ... Zhe thing ... Ж. In mire form a duality of Ka ... reflection?

When getting deep into it some spinning understanding ... vertigo? Some things are green from it ... explains much childish activity ...

We had a small tornado touch down outside of Woodstock in Beachville around 8 last night. Residents got some good footage. Always wanted to see one, not to close though, missed the opportunity....darn!

Good morning! Tornadoes and thunderstorms, the effects of steroids, for all the other things that come to mind for discussion, we gather in spirit round the Coffee Cart, for conversation, support and hot beverages to start the day right. All is ready, come and get it.

Thus rounders and oblates ... sometimes spun into discus ... from an old Greek debate? Unknown stuff in general as insentient shades come down ... hopefully with a shiny liner ... silvered?

I may be a bit late for morning coffee break , but lunch follows and afternoon tea after that. Here is a basket of fresh bagels and some fixings on the side. Hope you enjoy. I was careful to make them with flavour but without calories.

What a pleasant day. Lunch and clothing exchange with my daughter, funded by the big guy, which was a nice treat. Then a little shopping, then down to a friend of a friend's to pick up a coffee table, bit of grocery shopping, dinner, bit of a cuddle. Left him sleeping; I might get a bit of work done tonight.

Well, I got lists made tonight, not a bad start.

Coffee table doesn't work (too small plus totally not the decor/style of living room such as it is), but looks cute on front porch, and it's anodized aluminum, so, sure?

Is it too silly, or too bad, to be falling crazy in love at my age?

Good morning! Today we celebrate the joys of falling in love, as well as grieve the loss of life in Manitoba. We mark all the other things, big and little, going on in our lives, and bring them to the Coffee Cart, for conversation, community, and hot beverages. The bagels are wonderful, too. Come and join us!

My cousin's wife just died. I only met her once, very briefly, but she seemed very sweet. My cousin was born the same year as me, and his wife was three years younger.
Hubby and I were thinking over breakfast - are more men losing their wives recently? In our memories it seemed that husbands often died first. There were many widows in our childhood neighbourhoods, but no widowers. Now we know many widowers in addition to widows.

Interesting, in that there were three widowers on our street until recently, when one moved to a home. The other two go for a stroll together every afternoon (one of them is my dog walker, and what he does with Louis, compared to what he does with Lucy, is definitely more stroll than walk.)

Interesting. Statistically, men still have a shorter life expectancy than women, though I think the gap may have narrowed. I stand a good chance of being a widower but that's because I married a much older woman. And Dad was a widower (even remarried twice) but that's because of Mom's family's penchant for dropping dead of heart disease at a young age. I don't think most guys fit that profile even today. So not sure what might be happening there.

I've buried two men, and it seems likely, statistically, that I will bury a third, as he's three years my senior.
