I'm old enough that I'm not sure if you mean me, because I don't feel that way any more.
I head an IT department and I sometimes don't feel that way anymore. The Gen Z and Millennials who work for me are leaps and bounds ahead of me save on a couple antique (meaning 90s-style) systems we use.

Periodic things act as a point for things to go round they say ... like the 4 horses driving time ... inclusive of the darker one than cannot be seen at night when the rumble begins in the dark ...

What was that rumble ... possibly Beethoven tuning up the silence ... you can almost feel it!

I heard that from 2 old retired MS designers that said the base was lost to the new ...

Reminds me of the story of tongues as often misinterpreted from the original grunts and chirp as ... in the veil of the great unknown ... sometimes characterized as mortal ... even if immortal that is beyond our understanding of the great unconscious psyche! Some folk probe into it with great appreciation for the scary experiences hidden there in the fathoms ... leagues below the superficial?

Falls in with the 6th command and what little we know about them as they hide that stuff as if a shaman in progress ... when will we ever learn?

Good morning. It's grey and white here today. We have a snowfall warning for today. The snow has started. Fortunately I don't have to drive anywhere. Islanders can get freaked out by this stuff so that makes driving interesting at times.

It is nice to =see- Seeler. Good work on finding what she needs.

Today is the anniversary of my Dad's death (1995). So this is a date that I associate bad things with. However...my husband had an appointment with his cancer doctor today and the words "cancer free' were uttered!!!! We are cautious of course. The radiologist explained that cancer just goes to sleep and will re-awaken eventually. However, it is in a sound sleep at the moment. We still have lots of appointments (there are effects of the drugs that need to be dealt with), but each of us will now be attending those appointments with a much lighter step, a lighter heart, and a genuine smile.

Excellent news on the cancer front. Considering it to be asleep is a good perspective. Hopefully it stays asleep for a long while.

Wow - missed a couple of days & so much news to catch up on. Sending tender hugs of remembrance to some, cheers of celebration to Nancy & Mr. Nancy, warm socks for Mrs. A, a "Happy Advent" greeting to Seeler, and for RedBaron - a recipe for a 'Dark & Stormy" - the non literary kind! Quite tasty actually :-) Made some for my euchre club a fews back & we enjoyed them.
I'm nursing quite a sore rib today - yoga injury from last night's class - yikes!! Who knew stretching & relaxing could be so dangerous!!

There was a story last week about fracking on the Peace River area in the limestone formation causing an increasing number of earthquakes and stronger earthquakes. But I believe this quake is east of that formation. The estimated depth of two kilometres brings it close to the extraction zone for regular oil wells in that area. I believe Reno is on the western edge of the Redearth oil field.

While teaching by St. Paul, Alberta, we had a couple of small quakes from the Cold Lake area. One of them happened during a class and the trailer and light fixtures rattled. The other happened when I was in the staff room. It sounded like someone rolling a laundry cart back and forth.

Yay for happy news, Nancy! Sound sleep, cancer!

*waves happily at Seeler* Happy Advent!

Started my 3 week Advent series with my Tuesday night group. Not my smoothest session, somewhat defeated by Zoom technology (things can get a bit interesting when you've got co-hosts and groups and two people sharing and a new series). However, tis done and I have some ideas for next week. Also, put a candle, purple, on a scarf, blue, to serve as an altar/backdrop to the meeting and to work with the Advent theme, and the purple candle had a scent in it that made me sneeze, so I spent too much of the meeting ducking out to blow my nose.

I have a busy week ahead. Bible study tomorrow a.m., then have to clean the car, at least cursorily, for elderly ladies who I am taking to tea. One is used to my disgusting doggy car, the other is not, so it will have to be at least improved on. It's not untidy, just filled with sand and dust and dog-hair, and the back seat is home to the doggy stairs, etc., so there's fine-tuning to do. Then taking ladies to tea at two and returning them home, then walking and feeding Lucy, then over to the big guys for dinner and an evening visit.

Thursday, I'm helping a friend deliver church magazines for 2 hours in the morning, then visiting with another two church ladies in the afternoon. At 4, I have a monthly webinar by Creation in Crisis that I'd like to see. Friday I work 1-6. I'm predicting either a very early night Friday or a very late sleep in on Saturday.

Interspersed with this is wondering about why the City decided to wait until two days before "no parking on the street" date to fix the mess they made of the end of my driveway last winter and I'd just assumed were leaving that way. No letter, no note in my mailbox, no phone call, nothing other than "get the car out of your driveway now" at 7:35 this morning. No idea when it will be done. Today they graded and built forms for the concrete curb, then buggered off.

And I need to push on faster through Nick's Christmas box and the Christmas cards to the aging relatives, at least.

And I have TWO dying friends, one fairly imminent, whom I need to spend more time with.

Greetings to @Kimmio Laughterlove , hope you can dig yourself out of the snow!

NS is getting a windstorm tonight, the first test for the stability of my new gazebo.
Thanks. You must’ve seen me just post elsewhere lol. It actually sounded like rain or melting snow - water drops - for the past 1/2 hr. It’s quieter again now, but I haven’t opened the curtains to see if it’s snowing.

I have an appt tomorrow and trouble sleeping - pain, stress, hot flashes - but that may be something my appts can help with. Hopefully getting there won’t be too bad.

Going back to sleep. Have a good day!

I didn’t see you post, but they said in the morning radio news that Vancouver is digging out of snow and I figured you were around there, somewhere.

Good morning! How is everyone? Weather of all types, earthquakes, the march of technology (seems these days more like a hundred meter dash than a march), busy weeks, and other topics occupy our minds this morn. The Coffee Cart is up and running, come join us if you have a chance. (It does seem to get busy this time of year, doesn't it?)

Cancer is like a brain worm that really exists as a small genetic portion that can have as little as 250 genes. Those that claim to know all about it are deluded authorities ... perhaps poor administrators if they do not inform the graduates that there is far more out there to learn than you did in class ... thus contained conditions of disassembling misinformation ...

Some suggest that the essence of psyche planted in each body ... is only the semblance of somethin arriving here to learn all about how little we really know. The authoritarian temple hates it as a Jude Anne Punch in the abdomen. You understand dolmans and other caches of eL power (or energy as ergs)?

These can stimulate mental prowess as the bow goes through the waves of Magi fluid ... it is out there as the sans ... something mystical waiting ... imagine getting exposed to a lot more brighter folk out of sight of dull powers of earthy virtue! Can these be drawn to an edge as in hyperbole?

Sorry I just caught a very fine edge of the thing that eludes me ... I'm trying to put it together instead of cutting it up. What tyrants do to divide and conquer ... and in the physical end m... Foo gas eity ... more stinking intelligence! Some have resistant baffles up ... like I's rael Wahl ... Ephraim to the west (Numbers 2).

Ever get that gnawing feeling about escaping a really corrupted creation? There may be more to this class that we can classify with what we are comprehending at present ... the future being incomprehensible being we haven't made that much attempt to balance affiliation with past given knowledge ...

Some powers even claim that great knowledge is evil ... imagine the state a god of wisdom must be in at such irritable appreciations ... gives a stage for drop outs (fallacy). Here we are in the fathoms and leagues and obscured ... a type of occult?

Is it time to get out ... a we there yet? Even lobsters shed there shells as deep sea bugs ... Nautilus just expands the house ... a deeper concept!

Tyranny cannot tolerate it ... no patience ... watch the rants and raves ... step back a bit ...

Looks like a slushy mucky 2 cm out on my street. Not too bad. I saw some footage of people having trouble driving their cars. When it snows here it always gets on the news and it’s likely always because lots of people don’t change their tires and don’t know how to drive in it - because if they’ve always lived here they don’t get many chances to. So there’s a big snowmaggedon panic lol. That said - I don’t like it when it’s too slippery to walk on and too much to take my scooter out in. I manage but it’s a hassle.

Life is like that 98% of the time because of those hoarding the 2% ... causing considerable loss of concern for anybody else in the larger image ... as exponential matter they don't get that far ... X pounded? Well they just don't know any better ...
