My brother got his pacemaker and is doing well.
Spend the day yesterday to get parcels forGermany ready, sewed a table runner for my sister and a decorative fabric heart for my brother. Just waited that everything worked out today before sending it off.
This is good news to hear

Good morning! Wow, lots going on, from weather to risk-balancing for outings, sewing and renewing relationships, carrots and pacemakers... What this Room and what this Coffee Cart are here for. The cart is once again up and running, so come on in, join in the community, share your thoughts, and enjoy.

Remember ... for intellectual sake des MU's are for burying ... to see if there is any ego emitted ... in the abyss! Bottom le on ... Lenore!

So, I might be seeing a guy. We have some old, very casual history, and a recently resurrected connection.

I'm not really the marrying type, and I've buried two men, and I have a plentiful and varied life, even though "retired", with friends, part-time job, church, etc. But one misses masculine energy occasionally, and his is pleasant, not insistent, and not a Scorpio, so it might be nice to have a new friend to do those social things, and make nice meals for, etc.

This feels wyrd to say. I was married for 13 years, partnered to my Hippie for 24.5 years. Just the idea that there could be another is a bit strange.

I think I'm asking for positive vibes, or something.
Have fun! Nice thing about being older is you can give yourself permission to just enjoy the journey too. Good vibes coming your way.

Arghh had 2 phonecalls from AHS, as a follow up because of the asthma flareup.
Information from them:
Vaccine couldn't cause asthma flareup. For vaccines in general AHS has no contraindications for me.
They have no record of flu vaccines or an adverse reaction from one. No record of me seeing a neurologist. There is information that went to the emergency room.
She also doesn't understand how paraesthesia and fatigue would be a problem or impact quality of life.

She sounds like a see no evil, hear no evil person. Did she seem cut from the same cloth as the receptionist?
She seemed to be at least listening but working off of what she had for information. Like paraesthesia is something to report but unless it's GBS it's listed as not being a problem. She did seem surprised though when I stated it had a big negative impact on my life. I thought someone could at least think beyond the information in front of them.

Covid dose 1 reaction came up too. If it's anaphylaxis it's the vaccine causing it. If it's HAE then it's just my body's response.

It's a problem with how reporting is done. There's yes boxes to tick and if those aren't ticked it gets slated as not a problem. I guess there's no yes box for Health Canada being involved. Years ago I was told this system was altered because of the complaints I put through, I don't know what happened. Did it never actually change? Did it change but reverted back?

Seems other provinces have this issue too. My vaccine HAE attack was manageable (as is the asthma, sorta I define this as out of control but I don't feel ). I know of one person where it wasn't, severe angioedema attacks that had her in hospital. She was advised by doctor to not get dose 2 but because it wasn't anaphylaxis she couldn't get an exemption to be able to do things like vaccinated people were allowed to. If a vaccine passport/employment rule were put in for influenza vaccinations I was told today I could not get an excemption.

In general healthcare systems are based on the most common health issues. Deviations outside of the standard don't fit into the neat little boxes.
Why is a hematologist treating angioedema came up as another example of this.

Good morning! For joy of new relationships, for aggravation in dealing with provincial medical red tape, for the many other topics that arise, the coffee cart is ready to offer a place and some hot beverages to express what's on your mind, and find community and support. Come on in!

I’m attending a managing adult ADHD webinar later. It’s about tips and tricks, strategies, to make life run a bit smoother.

I read in an ADHD web magazine I subscribe to that people with inattentive ( used to be defined as ADD until they merged the two - we’re the disorganized, daydreaming, space cadets) are prone to something called “justice sensitivity”. People with this trait tend to get extraordinarily focused on injustices in the world, from the minor to the major - to the point of it impacting their own well-being. I fit this I think - most of the traits are very relatable and it’s really surreal to see myself in the descriptions. But if we learn to manage the negative emotions so we’re not saturated in them and channel it into being proactive, we can accomplish good things. I found that interesting, and affirming, anyway.

Sounds completely reasonable to fit into the mentality of those that do not realize what they don't know! It is a common fallacy ... news out in NB about administrative knowledge of vaccines and COVID are very confusing and chaotic! Then we are said to have some of the richest administrators in the nation as abdicated! Indignation ...

Plainly we don't know ...

Good god ... imagine increased sensitivity ... would this impact sentient nature? How much more simple could a reductionist social order make life?

Would that eliminate us from existentialism? I seems like a great quantum chance ... strange dimension that like a place for flighty or fey thoughts ... hoo dat hunk it ... leads to dissociative disorders!

I'm trying to solve an interesting situation and wondering how to figure out what others are thinking.
I am one of eight remaining members of a once thriving club. Three couples and two singles is all that is left. Everyone has a significant health issue and all but two are 65+. We haven't had a meeting or organised activity for about five years. Realistically, I doubt we will in the future. I suggested that maybe we should close the club and dispose of the $2,000 in the bank account in a mutually agreeable fashion.
Well, by golly, the response was negative in the extreme from one of the members, and took me by surprise. The objector is 85, basically housebound and rarely participated in planned activities EVER. Does anyone know what might drive this person to want to store money in the bank where it is of no use to anyone?

Would it mean admitting to a death that he might be afraid of?
