We have had 19 degrees with the passing of storm Nicole. I got junior to put my winter tires on as next week will be single digits. It was, drizzling rain outside and I enjoyed watching the chickens enjoying the yard. Bet there were lots of worms available.

It's been positively balmy. I was too warm today in a light jacket. A warmish November so far.

We're getting more seasonal weather these days. A bit of rain, some sunny spells or days and cooler temps.

I had a good day today. I went to a group with other women this morning and then did some sewing this afternoon.

Good morning! For family members on hospital, we send our prayers and thoughts. For weather situations of various types, we mention them and put up with them. For other topics and thoughts, we're here for them. The coffee cart is up and running, come on in and help yourself.

Grey and gloomy day in my neck of the woods. A repeat of yesterday except I got out of the house yesterday. Met up with some members of the local art club that I hadn't seen for far too long. This 'protecting myself to avoid viruses' has become deeply boring and I find myself ignoring the situation as much as I can. Today we were going to visit an adult kid - but NO as they are really sick with something. No point in knowingly getting exposed to something. What a balancing act!

It most certainly is a balancing act. I heard Dr. Raj Bhardwaj speak of a "risk budget" a few months ago. It involves balancing higher risk activities with lower risk activities in our daily life. We had just attended a Cinco de Mayo event at a cidery that was more crowded than I was comfortable with. That would be a high risk event. We followed that with lower risk activities for a few days. I think most days I only go up to moderate risk activities and that's not every day.

Let us face reality all is chaos because of powers doing just as they will for personal, subjective goods ... quo bono? That was destroyed with Psyche ... now resides in a psycho condition!

Tends towards dark and mysterious as the Dark Moon under which are stranger things than you can see without abstract! Un imaginable ... yet the Machiavellian thing would sooner keep us in the woods ...

We had the pleasure of venturing out this afternoon too - tickets were passed on to us for a National Geographic LIVE event at Roy Thomson Hall. A good ride on the GO train & a short walk through downtown got us there - interesting to see all the new construction since we'd last been there. The hall was not full at all. We did wear masks on the train & inside - COVID, flue & resp viruses are definitely on the rise here. Presentation by biologist & photographer Ronan Donovan was excellent, as the usually are. We saw parts of all the segments shown on his webiste, except for the bears. We were waaaayy up in the balcony for this showing - a very different experience from my usual seat for these Nat Geo presentations. It was fine, but just didn't feel quite as immersive. A good way to spend an afternoon tho. Oh - and we finished off with a loud collective wolf howl! That was FUN!

It snowed lightly here this morning. Gray for most of the day until about an hour before sunset. The snow melted as it fell. Our daughter and her family returned to Montreal about 11 this morning. It was a great celebration of her 35th birthday this weekend even though our granddaughter arrived with some kind of bug and was out of sorts at times through the weekend.

Lots of snow but it warmed up. Chemguy managed to dig out the carrots and parsnips, boxes weren't too frozen.
The tops have all been pulled off.
A portion are now washed, smaller portion than I would have liked at this point but it's getting done!

I need to figure out my storage, I used to use the food bags that come with the twist ties. No one seems to make those anymore. Ziplock bags are sized differently. Will use some containers for some but will take up too much space to do them all that way. I do keep them all in the fridge I haven't done the sand storage the some people do.

I spent the afternoon sewing two small bags. One was by a designer who I've made before. The other was a new to me designer. The new to me designer bag turned out okay after reading and re-reading less than clear directions :cautious: Now my feet are up and the sewing machine is turned off.

So, I might be seeing a guy. We have some old, very casual history, and a recently resurrected connection.

I'm not really the marrying type, and I've buried two men, and I have a plentiful and varied life, even though "retired", with friends, part-time job, church, etc. But one misses masculine energy occasionally, and his is pleasant, not insistent, and not a Scorpio, so it might be nice to have a new friend to do those social things, and make nice meals for, etc.

This feels wyrd to say. I was married for 13 years, partnered to my Hippie for 24.5 years. Just the idea that there could be another is a bit strange.

I think I'm asking for positive vibes, or something.

Definitely sending positive vibes your way. You are a lovely, funny, intelligent woman that deserves this.
Hopefully he will appreciate your friendship and company. Have fun!
