Since cutting back a bit I find I don't often think to have any at all most weeks. This weekend though, I had one of my favourites - bloody-Mary-ish like drink. The drainings from the bruschetta before the extra add-ins, a bit of celery salt and vodka.
I discovered after my food allergies I do not like Bloody Marys - used to drink Caesars. Or maybe when I ordered one they made it poorly? Not sure, was shocked at how much worse it was then a Caesar as really clamato juice doesn't even seem like it should be an improvement.

Bees Knees sounds good too!

Hmmm wondering if I cut down on chocolate if it would be like alcohol where I just don't think to have it after a while? haha
 
Good morning! Returns from trips and doing laundry; continued discussion on events in Sask.,new beverages to try, lots of other things. We gather round the coffee cart, where, alas bee's knees aren't available; but what we have we offer: Hot beverages, conversation, support and community. C'mon in.

Does every community have a limit in numbers? I just read about this in an article on Dunbar's Number and other overrun in computational and dreaming permutations of the mute zones ... them's quiet!

It seems it is related to Extinction Theory .. perhaps a relation of elimination of the wasted? There is another theory that tis may be related to things uncertain or just plain abstract about their absolutism ...Chenoweth Observation???? A consideration of what's beyond folk that believe they've seen it all and haven't looked in the great glass for what madness is yet to be encountered on this side of virtue ... then Heisenberg steps in ... say not a word as it may relate Snoopy with a Weiner Dog in trium phantism ...
 
Just printed off the bulletins for a celebration of life service I am doing on Saturday. The sun is shining through a totally blue sky. I will do another reflection this morning and work on the service for September 18. Then help clean the motorhome and do yard work. I am the captain of a team for darts at the seniors dart club because I scored high last season. The club is a very welcoming and accepting club with people of all abilities participating from those who have trouble at times at hitting the board to those who are better than me at getting necessary doubles and such. I think I am the only anglophone but there may be a couple of others.

We used to have a dart board in the basement. Me with darts is ... scary. Very, very scary.

Know the feeling. I joined the site (in France, not Quebec) that's publishing French translations of my stories. I am only commenting on the stories to give some insight into the writing, but I start with two or three sentences in my execrable French and then switch to English. They are being polite about it. :giggle:

Just booked two weeks off. Planning to spend some time driving around NB and Eastern Quebec seeing some sights we haven't been to before. Probably some overlap with Jim's recent trip to Charlevoix since we are going through that area.
 
The last bridge across the St. Lawrence is at Quebec City. Charlevoix region is on the north side of the River. The 362 from Baie St. Paul to La Malbaie is probably much more scenic than the main highway. I was surprised by the extent of beaches and shallow bays along the river with sand and mud flats that extend for miles.

There is that public resistance to baring, baron, and bairn ... barn activity? Thus collectives of hay and heh ... Hebrew in space? Perhaps a gentile far flame ... Estelle? Given great piece of time by Mort a Mire on turning and dippy SODs ... diabolical sum or integral when columnated ... Boaz and Jack in ... space ... said to be beauty in power creating sleepers ... like a headless horsemen in the hollow! Where's the horse head? Ah that's another matter that few can relate to ... under the Dunbar Numbers ...

Folks tend to conflict over items out of reach of their comprehension ... resembles innocence unleashed as brutal ignorance! Best to have a grip of the abstract psyche as something dark and eternal ... dippy? Nacht early ...

We are looking at doing NB first so might use one of the ferries if we make it on time. That's shaves off time vs. going down to Quebec to use the bridge. There's one at Riviere du Loup and one at Trois Pistoles, but the former has more runs so we're probably targeting it.
 
Hi everyone! Coming here to provide a few life updates :)
Haven't been able to lurk or post here as a baby eats up one's time. Will catch up in the next few days.
1. We christened Leonor at St Mungo's United Church in Cushing, Quebec, on 16 April 2022. Some photos on my profile page. It is a beautiful old country church, built in 1836 and very meaningful for my wife and her family. It was a beautiful service provided by a beloved Minister!
2. I accepted a job offer from the Government of Saskatchewan and on July 25 we moved to Regina. The city surprised us and we love it! Such a nice slower pace of life.

Well my afternoon plans changed. Hubby told me he has been having chest pains that should get checked out. He stopped taking blood pressure meds some time ago. Now, surprise surprise, he has high blood pressure. :rolleyes: Hopefully this is nothing and that he will return to taking his meds. This is a good Emerg for what it's worth.
 
Update: most tests were good. Blood work suggested something was going on so they're admitting him for further tests
