Imagine the twilight of the gods being portrayed in a howl or opus!

Göt·ter·däm·me·rung ...

The last syllable forms in essence a ladder dais form ... mortals know little of ide ... and the relations to Inanna if you can observe it the other way ...

Will she rise as a flaming Phoenix? Some say "son don't get too close" ... you could be waxed ... or otherwise wacked!

Captured my imagination if you can accept these domains are out there ... in abstract! Sa*rdon (roughly translated head hole, or a place without a head ... generating a red-neck) or Sardinian corruption. There are also other accrued islands ...

In short ... what do we know? Especially if all the gods and their parts went down in essence ... reality is apparently is lacking or innocent!

@Redbaron and @Mendalla
it’s “Götterdämmerung”. Dämmerung meaning sunset and Götter being the plural of God.
But of course, with english keyboards not having “ä”and ”ö”, I suppose “oe”and “ae” coulld be excused.
I am quite aware of the placement of the umlauts but I have never figured out how to access those characters on GBoard. I think they are there, just buried if your language is set to English.

I was cleaning up my photos on the computer and found these pics from 2015 of my old congregation in Berlin Kreuzberg, I like to share, because they really renovated this old church perfectly, adding glass to open it to the outside and separating the side wings of the church into rooms with glass into meeting rooms and on one side into this cafe- which is accessible from the outside through the glass doors ( so you don’t need to go in the church for your coffee.). I loved volunteering in that cafe. We always had at least two volunteers, one to serve and one to sit with people.

Oh, and here is another one, showing a market stand typical for “old days”, Germans loving their potatoes and this one only sells different kinds of potatoes, a few onions and garlic. Every kind is described by their use/ way of cooking- like better for mashed potato or for potato salad.

Good morning! As some of us will think about the Transfiguration today, as we continue to think of Ukraine, as we hear about church cafes and volunteers, let us gather in spirit around the coffee cart, and share our thoughts and our lives. All is ready.

Does it bother the populace of the medium (sometimes known as paradigm) that a complex world is beaten down by those demanding that reality be simple?

Thus slowly we succumb to unthinking ... and all is lost in Lucid domains ... clearly see-through ...

Agreed; that most will not have a clue of what comes from my mouth or script from my head man ... a rest of being very attached to head removal and resultant red-necks where something bled out ...

These can be very emotional because of lack of the counter urge ... contemplating eliminated thoughts can be painful! Allows co perp late ng ... print impressions!

*Shivers* Not one of the Rev's more inspired ideas today. She decided that we'd do Baden Powell Sunday this week, that we'd have an outdoor campfire service. Well, it's only -3, but the wind is fierce, and with windchill, it's -10. And it's not like I'm not outside in all weather walking the dog, but a 20 minute brisk walk compared to 40 minutes sitting in a chair are different. I am so chilled I feel like I'll never warm up, and my hands and feet (which were properly covered in insulated materials) are little blocks of ice. I skipped hotdogs and hot chocolate (consumed outside - to "warm up"?). I would just have skipped the whole thing but a) I had a gift card for our upcoming silent auction that I promised the organizers I'd bring today and b) I have two weekly Zooms with the Rev (our progressive group, and a bible study), and she'd been asking everyone to please attend...

There is a benefit to zoom meetings….

That doesn't sound in the east bit enjoyable. What happened to protect the elderly folk and those with health problems?

Is Baden Powell Sunday some sort of spin off from the historic Thinking Day of my younger years?

Well, there was a pre-recorded service for those who didn't want to venture outside (although it was a bit dated to current news because it was recorded last Sunday before the invasion of Ukraine). And there were 30-40 people at the Congregational Meeting on Zoom today and most who were there said they enjoyed it. I'm obviously not fond of the cold. And yes, Baden Powell Sunday is the annual Scouting/Guiding Thinking Day/Week focussed on his birthday, Feb 22nd. We are quite focused and intentional supporters of the movement, have our own adopted troop, and our long-time Treasurer is a long-term Scouter, so we pay attention to it every year.

Topic brought up in another thread about supervision and young kids - does anyone else find that more adults there are the worse it can be? My husband and I with the nephews, seems perfect. If my sister is there as often times it is the 5 of us that works to as we just assume my sister isn't doing any of the supervision. If we all go to the beach she will use the time to stretch out on a towel and catch up on facebook, maybe take some pictures of the kids.
4 or more? I think some of the worse situations are when it us, her family and my parents. 6 of us at a Halloween market, there was suddenly concern about where oldest kid was as my husband was walking around with my sister and brother in law. I was actually with him but my brother in law had started off and then someone it was handed off to me without us saying anything. One holiday meal he almost ran into the open stove when a turkey was being taken out - 6 adults present. It's not like we ignore the kids, but they go from one person to the next and sometimes like when it's time to take the turkey out, brother in law assumes grandma is watching, who thinks uncle is watching as she turned to cut up veggies, etc.

Also, heart of congregation is a few old farm families. I'm a total suck next to an 85 year old farmer, either gender. They look at us with the same calm amusement as the rural girls' ringette teams used to observe the delicate fairies sent them to play by the urban schools.

My family church was like that, too. It hosted one of the largest scouting organizations in K-W. My brothers and I all attended at various levels and Dad was a leader for a while. One of the highlights of his visitation was three of the other old Scout leaders coming together, one in uniform. And my old Cub Akela, too, who was also a member of the church and was Dad's lawyer for a time.

Good morning, all! Hopefully all survived the outdoor February service, and Baden-Powell Sunday observations. As we finish off this month (which some years seems the longest month, instead of the shortest) let us gather round the coffee cart, where boiling water awaits tea bags, and the coffee is freshly made.
