Any throw pillows here in the Room? Throw blankets and prayer shawls have been mentioned several times but I don't recall anything about pillows.

All of these items seem to magically rearrange themselves here. I have never noticed any clutter.

@revjohn has just commented on my last two BPoTW threads. Will get comfy later and pull out a Bible for reflection purposes. Maybe there is still some conversation to be had on those two threads

I think I experienced anaphylactic shock today. Feeling very out of it still and there was a lot of what I think was dissociation at the time. Didn't treat it properly, executive functioning went downhill fast. Very odd as my reactions go. Will try to deal with doctors tomorrow. I'm not entirely sure what set it off. Tea blend which I have had in the last few months, lindt coconut chocolates (what I suspect although I have had coconut just fine) microwave dinner that says may contain fish - have had in the last month, chocolate eggs, was eating all week.

Exercise is also likely a contributing factor.
Not impressed with my immune system. Also kind of scary I had a very disconnected I will call Chemguy as something is off and prescription antihistamine was taken. This was very much an EpiPen shouldn't have been in question but my blood pressure tanked fast and I didn't connect it. First symptom was itchy hands. I recall throbbing in my face while washing them and then sudden dizziness. No tongue throat stuff, just very systemic issues.

I'm freezing now.

I'd be betting on that one. If you can't tolerate coconut derivatives on your skin, why would your gut not agree? My daughter has to be very careful of coconut.

I didn't test as allergic with contact testing. Contact allergies often don't translate to food allergies.
I have also been eating other coconut based things, so maybe a specific derivative? Or maybe a glycol which I really hope not as those are just included with flavours. My delayed reactions do not help with the identification. If it is the coconut that was at least 2 hours. I'm hazy on when it started, may be closer to 3 hours.

Scary event for you Chemgal. I didn't know that anaphylactic shock could be delayed. My son's reaction is instant, as are other people I know. Hope you recover quickly.

Good morning! For travel plans and weather, for finding out (the hard way) about allergies, for throw pillows, prayer shawls, and other topics of interest and discussion, the room is ready. Water for tea or chocolate is hot, coffee is freshly brewed, all is ready. Help yourself to (what one old sitcom called) another heapin' helpin' of our hospitality.

Sounds like a complex start (initiates) for a Dai set up for the simplest of learning. We can only take so much intelligence at once ... thus that next go at it ... with some question of where to view if from ... in the tempest or from without? Makes me weak in the bending ... great gne*eds ... resembles a g nob in another tense ... thus those portals without knobs ... Alice's place ... she went ... wasn't treated well in the hole ... couldn't warm to it ... reassemble silently ...

I am developing an allergy to Covid. It's wreaking havoc on my team right now. Might want a little something extra in my tea.
Haven't we all! Hope the work issues get resolved, tough to have a lot of people having to isolate. Hopefully no one is severely sick.

Oh man. We had a nice drive from the city to my sister's community then the fun started. She's on a hill that hasn't been plowed. We got to the street that leads to hers and got stuck on the hill. We got help, we put chains on and got more helped. Still stuck. So we were able to leave the car in a driveway and walked to her place. It was quite the trek. Hubby came and we're heading back to home. The truck (Ram dually 1 ton) is the way to go. I stopped by to get my stuff and now we're back on the highway. I'm done. zzzzzzz

Is it thick ice over there?

I had a negative PCR test, needed to get one after a rapid test was not clearly negative ( malfunctioning, I suppose). Got the message that my nephew in Germany tested positive and had been hanging out with my brother and three other family members while infectious. Everybody vaccinated, thankfully.
Hopefully, they will be ok.

Is it thick ice over there?

No. It's deep wet snow. The hill was quite steep and there was a lot of snow on it. Vancouver Island has gotten a ton of snow lately. It would even be considered a ton of snow in northern BC and AB.

I find usually the snow isn't too bad although depends how steep the hill is! My bigger issue with snow is the rurs, sometimes makes it very difficult to drive where you want to go!

We've had a ton of snow. This stuff was wet and heavy. It's very different from dry AB snow. Even the Yukon and Ford F150 had to work to get up the hill. The hill was steep.

Happy Friday! We have made it to another weekend. For safe trips home after some ordeals, for negative test results, we give thanks. For the promise that Spring is coming, we hope. For the moment, we gather in spirit round the coffee cart, where all is ready.

Good morning. It was so nice to be home last night. My sister's road has been plowed so she'll be able to get her car. It has been raining off and on so we're going to have big puddles. I'm sure Murphy will go to sleep now that I don't have to travel into the city daily and the weather will improve. I hope.

Snowstorm today. Took vacation time at noon, roads were icy. Supposed to stop sometime tomorrow. Had two hours power outage ( which was good, because they announced it would be seven hours to restore the power).
Went over to find my neighbour scrambling to put batteries into little lights, including Christmas candles. With her poor eyesight, she was getting all worked up.
Found out, that my phone line worked, but their’s didn’t, because their Bell service went through some black box which didn’t work without power. Mine works as long as the telephone lines are intact and I am using a
not-cordless phone. Something I really thought needs to be considered when elderly people get their service contract.
I also got this nice heavy battery pack that I can plug a lamp in and also change cell phones, if necessary. That pretty much gives light in the main living area.

Merry Christmas! With Chemguy back at work this week and fairly busy yesterday we did the traditional dinner today, instead if yesterday for Christmas Eve. I'm now very full!
