I don't know how many of you have had an ear infection as an adult, but I can tell you that I had one doozy of an infection, once, and it almost drove me out of my mind with pain (and I was not paying a lot of attention to OTC pain relief limits...).

I once had a medical authority make fun of me over the differentiation of muscle from neural pain ... I don't think he had a nerve to pain him but certainly was a pain to many. He even ignored heart disease always saying everything would be OK ... an identification with denial syndrome?

CNN announced recently that some people said that information from the Jan 6 investigation was crazy????

What does one expect from psychopathy in the lead ... sanity? That's upsetting or at least reciprocal!

If only normal folks could get things right side up and left down as proper support! Then what politicians know Einstein's definition of abstract space ... without orientation it is hard to tell thus admiration of one star ... some flat outers cannot get round with this concept! That's their line ...

One of the 3-fates may clip that ...

Good Monday morning, all! As we share stories of ear infections and various pains associated therewith, and med, ical professionals who seem to confuse one pain with another, let us join round the coffee cart for warming beverages and conversation. All is ready.

We are painfully reassured humanitarian life goes on ... I read last night in a recent copy of the New Yorker ... that humans were basically inhumane to one another make a point of who they were ...

Perhaps we were meant to be autonomous and intelligence intervened ... as an essence of love for alien activities ... where as normal is unthunk!

Depends on which side of that unthinkable lion your on ... Leon is that you ... OCH Mon I've found you ...Elle's tove what we broke through ...

Happy Tuesday! The coffee cart is up and running, all is ready. I understand that the season of fruitcake is just around the corner. Anyway, come and get it.

Quiet in here today ... must be getting ready for Xmas. I've been knitting gnomes ... but the offer of fruitcake will draw my attention quickly!

ok, i can help with that urge. Just putting out a plate of fruit cake and mince pies for those who have already given up on avoiding treats!.

Earlier today my guy said sadly "I'm tempted to think we were total failures as parents. Why else would our kids be bickering like tiny tots about getting together for Christmas?" We have four supposedly intelligent, caring adult kids (three with partners and offspring) who can't all get on the same goodie plate so we can gather in the same house at the same time.

The vaxxed people are all willing to meet except one grand - who requested we be vaxxed or take a quick test before showing up. The vaxxed peple agreed that was fair and easy to do. The unvaxxed people screamed 'unfair, you can't make me buy into this nonsense, my body my choice, you vaxxed people are the ones spreading it ' etc.. unless they get themselves sorted out we will just stay in our own house and welcome anyone that shows up vaxxed or tested. I've already said that I wasn't cooking a big meal!

Maybe I'm over reacting but I feel really upset that I have two kids, three grandkids and an inlaw that don't consider our health and safety to be worth a bit of co-operation. It feels a bit like a 'screw you' situation when we'd prefer a bit of caution. Neither of us thought we would have family members who think it just fine to endanger our health over something this simple. Get tested for crying out loud!

Are you even all allowed to gather?

Things will likely be changed today, but currently here it's adults must be vaccinated, 2 households, 10 adults max. If it's a single person there can be 3 households.

If I was in your family I wouldn't be on the same page either, it sounds like there's potentially a large number of people!
In the summer when everything was dropped we did go to Calgary and the plan was a BBQ with Chemguy's side of the family, but it rained. I was not comfortable being indoors with that many people. We weren't the only ones to back out due to the rain either.

Current semi-plan right now is 8 of us, 6 adults, 2 kids - 3 households. I do think the household thing is a little silly as does it really matter if households A&B are together, B&C are together and then A&C vs. A, B&C all at once? People know though things are tentative depending on what the situation is like at the time. We might show up for gifts and not stay for dinner so we can stay masked or something like that. Take home tests may changed things too depending on accessibility. I think though this may be a bit of a last chance for indoors, unmasked for a little bit as I do expect things to get worse after Christmas.

NS changed rules recommending on choses no more than a bubble of 20 ( which is plenty) to hang out for the holidays. I would not be surprised if that changed to two households as we come closer to Christmas, as we have over 100 new infections daily for the last four days.

Ah is the bubble/cohort thing still being used there? It got kind of ridiculous here with being able to have 3 different ones (like for team sports) - considering the number of 2nd degree interactions they were fairly meaningless imo. As things eased and dropped cohorts weren't picked back up again when restrictions came back. I think cohorts are a good idea plus can allow for safer medium sized personal gatherings but not when there are multiple cohorts/individual as it just creates endless chains.

That would frustrate me too, Kay. My daughter is making Christmas Dinner (on Boxing Day) for my sister and I, so three singles, and I'm in a bubble with both of them, and we're all double-vaxxed.

Good morning! As we gather round the coffee cart, let us offer support for those for whom the holidays may bring more stress than usual-- those whose families encounter disagreements about vaccination status, or testing, etc. or dealing with recent losses, or dealing with new restrictions over numbers at gatherings, etc. May we manage somehow to find peace, joy, hope and love in spite of it all.

Stress, stress, what stress? It is said the good and true is out there ... and one must go quite a stretch to find it!

Even the book says look for the good ... it is buried and hidden somewhere sacred ... like a pearl in a shul? Remember shu'll get ya'!

It is a hard shell game for winners only and "the humble goes down" --- some oyster! Vertebrate flip ...

Then there's the sense of good and evil under the midnight son ... it was made into a novel scene down in Georgia ...

Shades under cover of the summer cook shack ... could be the fire tender ... keep it going ...

Is it sacred sickness how these things travel? See books by Dr John Dourley on such isle Ness! It is a mean spot ... contained in the knowing quotient! C'est fini ... ends are the means to goings on and we're embarrassed bi ET! So beit ... expect attachments ... the fisherman meanders ...

Mystery extends ... and so on and etc.

Greetings. Today is a down day for me. Yesterday I had both a bone scan and a CT. Then I had an infusion of a drug that protects my bones. The scans involved injecting isotopes and a dye in me. I am now sitting in my recliner with my quilt on my lap knitting. I'm also drinking water because I feel the need to detox. On a positive note, the scans were good.

Wow. Things can move quickly. I just got a call from Victoria. I see the radiation oncologist on December 29th then can start radiation the next day. I'll get five treatments. I have an appointment with my local centre doc on the 30th so have tentatively booked my first treatment on that day.
