Just popped in to check on everybody and got greeted by Weather Talk. It is a favourite topic in SK!
Our summer has been a bit of a wipeout for our plans to do some camping. It was either to wet, too hot or too smoky most of the time. Got some boondocking in when most of the family were at a lake campground nearby. I provided baking for my share of the food - braided breads, hamburger buns and lots of muffins and cookies for snacks. The younger generation shared responsibility for the main meal. So many mouths! Two older folk, four adult kids, two partners, two grandudes, one birth mother and partner. We were glad we chose to camp in a different location that everyone else - we get tired when there is a lot of activity and conversation going on.
On the way home we drove between the fire on both sides of the road. It had been almost controlled and a wind came up and set it off again. Still raging out of control today but a bit further away from the highway.
Today we also got some needed rain and the air is a bit clearer.

Good morning! Happy belated Cat Day. Weather goes on, as well.
Coffee is brewed, tea water is boiling, all is ready at the coffee cart. Come help yourselves.

Was that from a former squash Dais? When Dais went over the edge into the abstract zone ... twilight? A Ψ 'nd ...

Expect shadow to be prevalent in a heavenly state ... and you come to after going through it ... neurological blip!

This morning I found an old post on FB Memories that amused me again. .Putting it here in case anyone needs a wee giggle.

"That was a great camping trip for our family eh. Now it is time to exchange our Lost and Found items. I found Sawyer's hat but I lost a plastic juice glass. Rachel lost a book that Wanda found. Wanda lost a black folding chair that she hopes Kate found because no one else did. It was a boy who lost his underpants - probably Kyle or Rowan as they are too big for Sawyer. Kate found a plastic glass which is probably mine."

Good morning, all! Rainy start to the day hereabouts. We got zucchini loaf and camping stories, plus anything welse we might want to discuss. The coffee cart is up and running. Help yourself.

To discuss the "welse" or Welsh on the exchange? I have welts from some exchanges ...

Some powers can whip up the most cursed corruptions of the peace and not be shamed by what they fear most ... intelligence on things that don't know!

Thus the fear of fear itself expands socially ... perhaps a human flaw ... the subjects being somewhat broken by the powers above them!

There is that buried and sacred feral attribute ... something to drink to?

Thanks for the coffee, red. I have to work at 8:30 this a.m., so coffee needs to be magical, quickly. It's hard to sleep well in this heat/mugginess.

Good morning. We're starting off slow after a busy day yesterday. Today we have to do some things to get ready to start our return trip. Tomorrow we head east as we begin the trip west.

My brother is in town from Halifax. We'll be having lunch with him and he will be coming here after to pick up his stuff from my father's apartment. It will be nice to see him.

It was good to see you @Northwind (and mr. northwind).

More rain for us today.

This year, other than a bit in early summer, we have not had to water once, and the garden is excessively wet.
Many of the plants are suffering from excess water (and lack of attention from me due to the excess mosquitos)
My spouse was golfing last night, and the topic of conversation was mosquitos. Everyone in the group was complaining re the mosquitos at their home.

It's raining heavily here now. We've had a bit of thunder. Last night a weird storm blew through. It rattled the trailer a couple times and dumped a heavy amount of water. Then it ended. It probably only lasted ten minutes at most.

It was good to see you too @JayneWonders. I look forward to seeing @BetteTheRed tomorrow if the gods of those things cooperate.

Yeah, it's been nasty today, eh. I got up well past "sunrise" and you could barely tell. Dark and rainy. Still rainy but not as dark.

Sorry I couldn't make the get together but glad you had a good trip (if sad due to dealing with the estate) trip East. Take care heading home.

Seems to have missed us thus far, although it's been grey most of the day. I think we're supposed to get storm activity this evening.

I saw that on the news @Mendalla. They were calling it a funnel cloud on the CFPL news and said it didn't seem to have touched down. They are continuing the investigation

All we got was (more) rain...a friendly neighbour/friend was in the store today when I was working and asked me how the Hippie's new tree was doing. "It's a glorious summer for tree replanting" countered I.

Good morning! Through the funnel clouds and thunderstorms, through wins and rain, the coffee cart stands undaunted. All is ready, come help yourself.

Those were some boomers through the night here. Good Ontario t-storms. There is little risk of drought here. Too bad we couldn't send this rain west.

We're up and working on at 'em. We're packing up to hit the road.
