I had a lovely delivery this morning. An old friend of Dave's and mine, known as "The man of many colours", as he's completely tattooed from wrists to neck and down to ankles, was in a creative mode yesterday, and listening to some bluegrass music of Dave's. He fashioned a bead and hemp necklace, then anchored it with a slice of antler onto which he'd burned a cross on the front and 3 nails on the back. Asked if I'd like it, and I said "sure, with thanks", and so he showed up this morning with the necklace, one of the Gillian Welch recordings he'd been listening to, from Dave's collection, complete with a photo of Dave at Jasper Free camp in the 60s and one of Dave's old hand stamped "business cards". And three lovely apricot tarts from our mutually favorite German bakery.

I'll share the tarts; they're very nice.

With thanks for friends who show with gifts, music and tarts, and other things, big and little, that bring joy and memories and such, we gather round the coffee cart where, as some old cliche says, When joy is shared, it is doubled; when sorrow is shared, it is halved. All is ready, enjoy.

Are tarts like Pi ... an ocean of indeterminate numbers .. virtue of unreality?

There are those that will not search that far ... thus the knowledge and wisdom of gods are relegated to out there ... a reciprocation allowing for confinement in their unseen abstract ... a dark moon? Life according to the thieves who make it go round ... alternate powers? Deduced as less ... humble empowerment as carriers and teamsters ... and palms are ollied ... hands down!

Piercing visions ... delivered by the huntress ... Orion, or that other Ero ... Cupid ... thoughts Eris ... encompass environmental icons ... may resemble a flag of concern ...

Patches may not fix the enigma ...

Fireworks last night at our neighbours had our dog wanting to be close to me. Took the opportunity to comb his ears it. Had been a while and he had a but of a mat under there.

He is so good when being combed.

Makes me forgive the pair of flip-flops he thought were a toy yesterday. Luckily I rarely wore them. Plus discovered he had at some point got my felt birks. Again rarely worn. Want to clear out a shoe inventory, not sure what was up. He hasn't done this in a long while
 
Some fireworks around here in the evening. The only ones we have had that bothered me were on June 30. They went past 11 (noise bylaw time) but I was in bed and didn't really feel like getting up to see who it was, assuming I could even tell with all the trees around us, and complain.
 
Good morning. It's below 20 for the first time in a week or so. It was nice to be a little chilly when I took the dog out this morning. Thankfully there have been no fireworks around here this year. The province is in an extreme fire risk. We don't need them.
 
It was a great day today. It was so nice to do "normal". This evening we went to a free live music event in a park. It had cooled to a decent temperature. It was a wonderful evening.

I woke up at 5am. Waa wide awake. About 5:30 I thought, I think I will shut my eyes. Woke up at 8am with a dream that was in a spot that I didn't want to end. Decided to lay back down. Woke up at 10am. Crazy!
 
I'm usually a 6-7 wakeup person but if I wake too early (before 6 or even at the early end of that range), I do have odd dreams and I am more likely to remember them.

Put about 15km on my bike yesterday. Might do the same route today or try a different one.
 
Good morning, all! Happy Monday! Live music on a summer's day is wonderful. For its return we give thanks. The coffee cart is up and running, all things are ready. C'mon in and help yourself.
