So, I had good news today. Had an ultrasound on the suspicious lump on my collarbone last Thurs. Nurse-practitioner called me just before I Ieft for work. All clear, they think a fat deposit.
I have one of those! It's on the back of one shoulder - near my arm. When I first noticed it, I was "AAACK WTF is that???" Went to the doc. He casually said, "oh don't worry - it's just a fatty deposit - very common in old people" - OLD PEOPLE??? Geez. I wasn't ready for that. Glad to hear yours is similar nothing to worry about!!

Ha, joining the club. Mine is also on my back, just by my shoulder blade. Having an ultrasound on the 17 th, a few hours after I get my second vaccination ( just hoping any side effects will wait a few hours). I have been having pain there, could be the thing just bumping against my shoulder blade when I move it - or just ongoing tension in my back from overall stress. But after several months of this, I felt it needed to be checked out.

Totally. It's usually nothing, but if you don't get it checked out, once you've noticed it, feels irresponsible.

I had a comment on a completely unrelated FB post tonight (about water, FFS), from Old Guy's sister asking me to stop calling him "until she said it was okay". She said he was confused. Unfortunately, what I heard (because she couldn't even bother to post it on her brother's FB page, where I have a "he needs goods vibes please", or via Messenger) was "my son is tired of emptying his voice-mail". That might not be fair, but that's the only vibe I get from her. Painful; hate it.

Sorry the family isn't showing you any compassion it's a crappy enough situation with his health issues it isn't fair of them to dump on you and not giving decent updates.

Good morning all! As we ponder odd growths that turn out to be benign, let us rejoice with warm beverages. Coffee cart is running and ready.

I‘ve had one of those on the back of my thigh since I was 19. It’s not just old people. It’s not bulging above the surface, so not visible. Only I can feel it. Doctor said that it was a fatty deposit. A couple of them. I’ve had it so long - now it has more cellulite to compete with - it‘s never changed. Maybe seems smaller when I lose weight.

Making pancakes for breakfast. It's usually a weekend thing but we were out of the frozen blueberries I put in and didn't shop until Monday. Here's a plateful to try. Nothing spectacular, just basic white pancakes with PC Frozen Wild Blueberries for added flavour.

Arachnid cysts in some circles ... said to line the Dural matter before getting into the land of the immaterial and hypo trances! Underlying cognizance ...

Tis a domain to mine as a last fron tier ...

Ohh Bette - that's so horrible. Sound like my sis-in-law when my brother was dying from cancer - she ran total control of his life & pretty much locked out both my Dad & I. So painful. Sending big hugs - I'm here if you want to vent.

@Mrs.A - and everyone else hunched over the computer too much these days, or stressed from winter COVID days ... give this little gentle 14 min essentrics video a try to keep those shoulders moving well ... I've been doing it recently because of a bit of rotator cuff problem exacerbated by bad posture and find it really helpful.

A mass called a hemangioma was found in my thigh by accident. I never noticed it until a bit of it showed up on an unrelated ultrasound. Harmless.

I think I knew someone who had one removed from their face. Just showed as a bump on one side.

Right. So why does google always send us straight to cancer first?

I would never have noticed my bump, which might be old, without getting a new Zoom set-up. I had to give up Zooming via my Amazon tablet, because I couldn't do the things I need to do, like hosting and file sharing. The new camera/mic set up is on the top of my large monitor, so it's prone to showing thinning hair and funny neck lumps.

I hear you Bette - finding that 'just right' location for the camera with zoom calls & getting the lighting right is an art I think! I hate those views up people's noses! Also - did you know that zoom has 'enhance appearance' button ... yup ... its a thing!

Good morning! Fortunately for some of us, the coffee cart isn't a Zoom production (I've been told I have a perfect face for radio). This no need to try to look our best. Just gather around and enjoy.

Well, I am definitely not looking my best (beard desperately needs a trim for starters; starting to get into RevJohn territory) so I guess I qualify. Good morning! Kettle is on for the tea, hot chocolate, and instant coffee crowds.
