Oh rain ... blessed rain ... absent from here yet again. I am on my way out to put on the sprinkler ... the earth is so parched.
 
We had showers up into yesterday. It was actually fairly wet here in the past week. This is the first day it's been dry enough for Little M to get the mower out.
 
I had a nice afternoon of sitting in a park with other knitters. It was sunny with a bit of a cool breeze. The rain started after we had packed up and were on the road. I'm at home now watching the third season of High Seas on Netflix.
 
That sounds delightful @Northwind! My next knitting task is learning to do short rows o_O . I did discover a cabling error the other night - a back/front reversal :-( But I'm happy to report I googled how to fix it & I did just that! Yay!!

I spent the morning at the school garden - with the veggie farm in good shape, I'm now tackling a neglected butterfly/pollinator garden plot at the school. I recruited my mate to join me this morning - to climb the ladder & prune many limbs off a tree in the centre of the space - looks SO much better - lots more light, and air, and hopefully rain will be able to get in. I spent my time digging out some invasive species that were a little too rambunctious, plus some thistles and big burdock - man those burrs sure do stick!! It's looking much better already. I'll be back tomorrow to do more, as our weather at the moment is good for working.

You can do short rows. There may be swearing involved, but you can do it. :cool: Yay on fixing the cable. That's huge. :love:
 
Hospitals here will be charging for parking again. I was hoping that this would be the necessary catalyst to eliminate the fees - there have been arguments for years that when seeking medical care, one shouldn't have to pay for parking. No such luck yet.
 
Popping into the Room to grab a coffee off yesterdays cart and for a quick announcement that I am going on a vacation from Wondercafe for the month of September. Stay safe, everybody!
 
The second cup will be fresher. Coffee cart s up and operating. Enjoy! (oh, and happy Monday!).

Thank goodness this room is here and I can have three coffees if I want. I've reached my limit of two on this gorgeous, temperate sunny day. Just a little tang of fall in the air.
 
Good morning. The coffee is delicious. I'll just sit here with my quilt over my lap and continue to work on a sock. It will have a separate big toe so the recipient can wear them with flip flops.

Am I allowed in if I'm not rejoicing? I can summon a smile though :) This is because I haven't had my second cup yet, so thank you Redbaron.
