For some people I know, the world may be standing still, but coffee makes their heads spin...

A few of my friends have a reaction to caffeine.

Both the cafe and the coffee cart seem a little slow, given there is not much else to do in the world right now.

I spoke with my hematologist. Smartest guy i know, smart and wise.
I got a lot of "I don't know" from him which is not the most encouraging thing, but I also know he won't feed me BS just to try to placate my fears. So phototherapy is a go as he doesn't think it's too much of a problem for me to show up to that clinic 2x/week.

My health authority has gotten the online records service now. That means I can check my bloodwork results and see scan reports. I can also see future appointments. I saw yesterday's bloodwork results today. I suspect I'll be getting more bloodwork done tomorrow or soon. My neutrophils are too low right now. Not as bad as last time. My results also suggest I will need to keep away from crowds and such to stay healthy.

On another note, it's a gorgeous sunny day today.

Sorry to hear they are low :( Mine actually about halved, but that was a good thing. I wish I could have thrown those extra ones your way!

Well they were less low than last time. They were at .45 which is basically in the toilet. This time they were something like .69. They have to be at 1 for me to get the next month supply. He lowered my dose for this month. I wouldn't be surprised if he lowers it again. I did tolerate it better this month. Such a journey

Such a journey indeed Northwind. So, "less low" is a good way to put it. Fingers crossed ... and yes take that social distancing very seriously. Hugs.

Good morning! Coffee's up! Let us join in and distantly socialize!

Ahh . . . time to get out for my morning walk.

Today I am contemplating a verse from the gospels which bothers me. Will see where it gets me.

Someone in the city has now died from the virus :(
The pre-existing conditions aren't being mentioned for privacy. I get that, but it could be helpful to know what they are. I hope that they will release information over time, maybe not connecting the data directly. Ie. 60% are male, 20% are 70 and older, 1 had x, 1 had y.

I am now set up in my home office. We'll see how this goes. We aren't actually closed to staff, but the option has been given so I want to test it out. It's not totally new for me. I have done this a few times, but not as a regular thing. It was one-offs when Little M was sick and that sort of thing. Usually, I have just had my laptop. This time, I brought one of my 27" monitors (I use dual 27s on arms at work) and my work keyboard (which will likely not last long. Mrs. M will complain about the noise most likely since it's a mechanical keyboard.).

My Garry - acting as Senior (in more ways than one) AutoCad for an Electrical Engineering Firm - is also now set up to work from home.
We are looking forward to this opportunity ... should have happened years ago.
His 'office' will be in the 'Guest Room' as our prospective guests have opted out of 'compromising' us old folks at home.
2 hours less driving time every day - less gas - less vehicle maintenance. Win Win Win

Some of us don't get to choose to work at home. I have no idea how this will play out. I suspect I will get it.

My heart weeps for those who bravely risk illness to keep things running as well as possible. Apparently there have been some verbally abusive customers at local grocery stores. Sheesh - it isn't the fault of the employee if anti greed rules have been put in place.

So grateful for store workers, truck drivers, medical staff, home and support workers and all who run the risk of catching'it'.

Hopefully those with any symptoms do not show up at a grocery store. Also you do have a bit of a physical barrier are the cash register, although not as far as is ideal now. Hopefully it helps.
