Not really happy, still no diagnosis but being asked to stop a med and not getting proper support for issues that will come with it. Hepatologist appointment is at the end of Feb. I was able to request a bunch of tests so I can get stuff done before and after stopping med to see what changes. I discussed that with my GP and she thought it was reasonable to do, but wasn't comfortable ordering them so I'm glad my internist was.
It's frustrating though how much work I am doing, I researched the tests, some of them he hadn't even heard of.

How many things have some authoritative professionals never heard of?

To be cognizant of it is humbling ... i.e. wat we don't know is the great Hebrew mystery! They construed myths about it to cause curiaosity ... yet some didn't get it!

We often don't even understand NU's from yesterday, or even today ... so we avoid it as strange! That's data, statistics or alien information you know ... don't look!

Some things are predictable ... some not!

I can fall off anytime these days ... even though some deny trance states exist ... alternate awareness! How do we loose all those accrued thoughts?

My Christmas mugs are often the last thing to go back into the bin. There's a couple I really like; the "take joy" snow person stoneware coffee mug and the starry polar bear porcelain tea mug never make it out of circulation.

Would you believe I still have and use an old Wondercafe mug (in fact, I am seconds away from drinking from it)? It was a gift from a former minister at the UU fellowship who "defected" to the UCCan (I have talked about her before) and who knew of my presence on the old board.

I have a couple of those old mugs, too. I may have gotten the last 2 ever sold. I ordered four of them, and they shipped 2; and as I recall seemed doubtful that any more would be made. This was maybe 3 or 4 months before the announcement came that WC was shutting down.

Speaking of old mugs, for nostalgia's sake I found a few of them in the cupboard, and invite you to use them today,

I put the Christmas mugs away yesterday. Also, the last thing I do to say 'goodbye' to the season.

I know this will seem like a small thing to those of you dealing with your own health issues, but some of you will relate to this. My dog, Faith, had a worrisome, hard lump that she was gnawing on. I made an appointment and went to the vet yesterday. Two vets had to work on her to keep her still enough to see the lump. When they brought her out to me, she was limping (hadn't been before this...had been walking, running, jumping like her usual self). I told the vet.."Oh, she's favouring that leg now". He said, "Yes, she put up a fight and probably sprained it." Today, she can hardly move, and she looks so sad. I'm giving her antibiotics for the infected lump. But I think it is the leg that is really changing her life right now. Debating about whether or not I should call the vet about this, as I'm pretty sure the vet is the cause of today's pain.

Good morning. I'll have some clear tea this morning. I have a CT in a couple hours and can only have clear fluids right now.

@Nancy that is a worry isn't it. I would call the vet and at least let them know. I wouldn't be very happy about the cavalier attitude they showed about the struggle. I realize that kind of thing happens, just show more concern. I hope your dog feels better soon.

Thanks Northwind. I did call the vet and I'm bringing her in soon. Dogs are so trusting...She looks at me with pain in her eyes, expecting that I will fix her.

Nancy - I feel for your poor dog. To me it sounds like your vets don't handle their patients with the care I expect from mine. Faith may need some imaging now to find out where her pain originates. The vets should be working gratis now they have caused injury. Such a worry.

Keep us posted @Nancy I hope everything works out. I agree, they should be doing this for free since they likely caused the pain.

My CT is done. I've eaten now and go back for the bone scan in 45 minutes. good thing I brought a sock to knit.

So, I've been at the hospital for two hours now and it's only 0900 hrs. :p I've been injected with isotopes in prep for the bone scan and have had my CT. We've just had breakfast and are hanging around until 9:45 when I get the bone scan. We'll probably be here for another hour.

Coffee went down good.
