Just sipping a cup right now. I have an appointment later on to get my second shingles shot and after t hat, see the surgeon. I have some worries that I have overdone it and maybe popped a couple of stitches? Hope my worries will be relieved today.
A colleague dropped in after work yesterday with a slice of poppyseed loaf- my facourite, from the cafeteria. Updated me on changes at work- I will have a new colleague on my unit in January, as she has switched to another unit, taking on a full time position. We will still be in the same office, but we had been a great team for years calling ourselves “ Thing One and Thing Two” - me being Thing Two. We will also have a new manager in the new year.

Thing-ease should be enjoyed until they pass into the memoirs!

We understand memo's partly ... the irs are something else ... a mystery! That hang out in the night with Irene ... with word the abstract soul-mind can play ...

Thus toons ... metaphorically drawn from messo zones ... the vales and Kells of Jezreel? Thus the fold ... GEO logos! Tis an earthy or mire power ... under foot?

Respectable ...

Good morning the coffee is delicious thanks. I hope your worries are relieved today @Mrs.Anteater

I'm just heading down to breakfast after a surprisingly good sleep. This lodge is supposed to be shared accommodations but I had the room to myself last night. It was nice to visit with others here last night. I was able to offer some support to a woman who will have surgery next. We also talked about singing and knitting. My treatment is at 10 today. Then I'll have the day to myself. I'm connecting with Somegal from the old WC site, and hopefully @Kimmio Laughterlove as well. I'm looking forward to the day.

Thankfully, yes. Incision is still intact and everything is the way it should be. I am allowed to drive and increase activity until back to work at full speed on the 2 nd. ( Though, my feeling is that I will not shovel snow until at least February.
So, will do some baking and having friends over tomorrow night for National Lampoon Christmas Vacation for a good laugh ( they did not know the movie, can you imagine?).

Internist appointment was not all that useful in getting me info. I had brought journal articles with me - subtypes of adenomas & ones on adenomatosis. He had wikipedia on adenomas open on his computer.
I don't think he knows what adenomatosis is, after I asked about it he mentioned 'adenomaosis'.
I did get some things that I think are important that - pathology called while I was there (and asked what it was I wanted as he didn't understand the subtypes) to get the subtype done. The pathologist suspected it is HNF1a based on morphology I guess but wasn't planning on running the tests. Subtypes do affect things like cancer risk in the future, responses to certain substances, etc. and FFS if I went through all of this for the biopsy I want that info! This could have been diagnosed without a biopsy if the radiologists were more knowledgeable. The subtype could not be classified via imaging though. Samples don't stay good forever to get that info, so glad that call was made.
Referral is going to happen too.

I don't think any of my current doctors know what adenomatosis is. My GP does now because I told her. Ditto with my hematologist - harder to determine if he had ever heard of it as it was over the phone, but I suspect not.

Glad you are so on top of things. (y)

Is a lampoon like a satyr or a Poo 'n flight?

Popping in for a quick hello. I had a lovely weekend away attending the Downton Abbey exhibit in NC. Sadly returned to a sick Matthew. He was ambulanced to hospital yesterday and is unfortunately in the ICU at the moment.

Sorry to hear about that, DaisyJane. Sending hopes that all will turn out well, and will do so soon.

Good to hear that all is well with Mrs Anteater,, especially hearing that she is planning some fun..

Chemgal - words fail me yet again. Hoping you get a doctor who actually understands what your health situation is - and knows how to handle it. It puzzles me that no one seems to be grabbing the ball on this and doing some learning (other than you, of course!))

Sending healing thoughts towards Matthew and hugs to the rest of the family. Hoping for caring staff to help him heal.

Prayers for your family and Matthew Daisy Jane. May he get well quickly.

Chemgal Hard as it is Good for you. Keep on educating. It will make it easier for the next patient.

@ChemGal I'm glad you're advocating for yourself. It's too bad you have to do so much.

@DaisyJane I was glad to read that your guy is improving. Here's hoping it continues.

I'm at the BC Cancer Agency waiting to meet someone for coffee. I'll be getting my radiation today, then will see the doctor again. It's going well so far.

Good morning, all! 'Tis the weekend! Let us mark the occasion with warm beverages! Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and there may be some hot apple cider mix in there, too. Enjoy!
