Thank you! Enjoyed the breakfast - and also had strawberries on a sourdough waffle! That should set me up well for the day - I'm off shortly to my big school garden plot to do some weeding as it's lovely & cool here this morning - love being outside on such days! Happy Sunday all.

Meooow! Love them!

Been nursing a headache. Seems to be improving as the day wears on but has kind of sapped my interest in going for a bike ride this afternoon. Maybe a walk instead.

Well I had a wonderful day, beginning with meeting Seeler and Seelerman at church. To say I was made welcome would be an understatement. Seeler introduced me to the minister and people she knew from the congregation. I felt welcome and comfortable. We then headed out for a lunch of delicious seafood chowder and afterwards Seelerman drove us around the area, and I got to see the charming old houses, the forested countryside, and the beautiful little villages...and to get a bit of history too. Not surprisingly, Seeler and I agreed we felt we'd known one another for years, which in a way we have. And did I say what a bright, kind and gentle spirited woman she is? Seelerman also was very hospitable...acting as chauffer and tour guide. We all talked up a storm. So grateful for the warm welcome and looking forward to hearing Seeler when she is filling in at another small church this month.. What lovely people. Thank you!

Beautiful placemats, Mrs. anteater. Love the cats.

I agree, it was a long and drizzly Sunday. But having ninjafaery along made to drive around town and countryside enjoyable even if we had to have the wipers on at times.

Can the caddy handle the gole fears? All is chaos ... keep it cranked ... the lighter forms will float off ... like sunlight in the night some (nyx' Skye)?

Word ... especially English are hard to understand due to ambiguity of that empire ... appearing endless! Thus the myth may go on ... leaves some in seizure and fixated ... determined?

We're just back from enjoying our local Canada Day Parade - which has certainly evolved into a major event! It was fantastic again this year - and with an amazing representation of the diversity of this city, and country. And the weather really could not have been better - sunny & warm, good breeze to keep everyone comfortable. Now out to do a little work in the garden, and to neighbours for BBQ this evening. Great day & I am grateful for it, and for all of you here.

We're moving back into our last site in this park today. It will be a quiet day and I think we'll be avoiding the Canada Day crowds this year. I feel pretty decent, though quite tired. That's all part of the process as the drugs fight the cancer inside me. I can accept it since this is temporary and for the good ultimately. So, a book, knitting and possibly a nap is on my schedule today. After we've moved to the other site.

Coffee was delicious thanks.

I thoroughly enjoyed the wedding on Sat. It was a church wedding and the couple and anglican priest had spent considerable times and thoughtfulness in preparing the service. (the last few weddings I have been to were not in churches). Good music, small wedding party followed by a reception of finger foods and cake, provided by local friends. The scottish country dance troupe danced a wedding dance. We were then invited to dance a simple welcome dance-well the dancing crowd was so large that we encircled the buffet table. The bride wore a mid-length floaty dress (cotton? sil?) that she had got an artist to paint flowers on. Quite lovely-and the groom-as the bride loves all things scottish-surprised her by wearing a kilt.

Good morn, everybody! The coffee cart is restocked and loaded with good stuff for hot beverages. Come and get it!

*pours a tea *

How's life? Back to work. Got lofty goals for this week but we shall see what happens. One of my team is on vac and the road most of the week so I will be helping on help desk. That sometimes makes it hard to focus on projects.

Tabatha, it sounds like you had a great time at the wedding.
Even here in the Maritimes, there seemed to be more and more weddings at locations other than churches. Hotels, golf clubs, community halls, and outdoors. No matter how nicely the hall is decorated, or how convenient it is to have the wedding and the reception at the same hotel, it seems to me that something is missing when it is not a church wedding.

The same is true for funerals, or 'celebrations of life'. (The most recent 'celebration?' I attended was in a hall where people usually meet to play cards, listen to local talent, or dance.)

Was at a celebration of life this afternoon ... and the pastor said Jesus was successful at forgiving all sins ... although there may be a darker side to the message ... them's the shades ...

Today was a totally lazy day. I've been tired from the treatment on Friday. Oh well, it could be worse. I caught up on some movies and worked on a sock.

Greetings and salutations, all! Running a little late today, but the coffee and water are ready for your enjoyment.

I'm in a bit of a mess, so bear with me. I'm struggling with a very old relationship (never lived together in 23 years), end of life stuff (or maybe not, if they get their s**t together and proceed with dialysis), and trying to do it with two questions in mind, "how do you want this to be at the end; work backwards from that" and "live your values".
