PB&J was a staple for school lunches when I brown bagged it (ahem) a few years ago. Since then it's been a comfort food as much as anything. I tend not to rely on it too much these days.

I'm popping in to enjoy a cup of tea. I've brought a bowl of fresh BC cherries. Help yourselves.

We had a nice trip into Victoria. I had my appointment with the oncologist. The appointment went very well and the doctor was pleased. The tumour is about a third the size it was before treatment. I get another week and a half break before my next treatment on the 28th. Three more months of chemo so I'm halfway through. I have to meet the radiology oncologist in the next while. She and the surgeon will decide whether radiation or surgery will come next. It was nice to have the good news confirmed.

We went and visited friends after the appointment and had a lovely visit.

It's been a nice day.

Oh, cherries- I allways used to get one kg for my birthday. This year, they are so terribly expensive, I didn’t buy any. $9 a lbs! It used to be $5 or $6 a kg. I love cherries. Watering my cherry tree every day in the hopes the cherries will be bigger this year- last year it was mostly a pit with a skin around it.

I will have a fresh bowl of bran in a bit ... after more coffee to wake me to the myth of Braen ... and the phantom thereof that seems to have taken off over the horizon ... no end to where heh' scone ... thus the unanswerable if you can't speak of unknown spots!

Keep it for sho' and tell ... that's the story ... mythical if you don;t know how!

Did you know "heh" was the Hebrew letter for holy space ... perhaps a blotch on the outer realms ... a bid darker? Thus additional mystery is addendum ... induced? Deduced is subtracted from ... there are addition implications as blind passions go onas prescribed by some BS!

Thought is thus disposed, denied and eliminated ... leaving a hole and wonder about where did it go? Well ... is a deep thing ... it may reflect with some water added to the bottom end ...

Thus the expression: "drink to me only with thine ayes ..." --- the Don auld chap! He collects ayers ...

Don't take it too seriously because even the word itself alters to allow wisdom to remain sacred and hidden context! But you may go figure ... like some of those curly icons doodlers ... tom as doo Lee ...

That's all folk and it remains a hanging mystery ... why we float here in the midst of it !

I have discovered that coffee and bran flakes go together very nicely, at least in my opinion.
(Not, however, in the same bowl or cup).
Good morn, all! Tea and coffee are up! Help yourself!

Variants are unending although some authorities would prefer confinement for the populace ... while authority runs wild ... is there a backward look available here to observe things the other way? Suggests that we should construct essence of soul as foundation of the braen ... a great gonad according to medical official-dumb ... considering their limits as well! It'll pass as we move on to the next stage/domain --- Shakespeare!

Thus continuation of the same old myth ... with altered cover ... often runes and such dirt of overwhelming information ... it may heap up ... further essence as farce Ides?

Is that learnable dimension or another tier in the spheres ?

Is it wrong for me to be beset with giggles over the complexity of English ambiguity about eternal concerns ... when an authoritarian monarch some years ago took responsibility for all language so he could cast off undesirable lesser parts of his thought processes ... as women he washed his hands of ... these things just will not go way!

The celts will return to get his parts ... thus fossilized thoughts ... as hard to take essence! Kat*herine as Nordic influence to his blithering ... about what really was leading him to destruction ... he blew it!

Chemgal…..sounds similar to the babysitting I'm involved in this summer. And I wonder how I ever raised kids....With grandkids, I tend to focus only on them, and not everything else. When I was raising my own, I had no choice: I had to focus on the everything else as well! Also, when the kids come, I change my house around...out come the toys, the high chair, the 'bed', the diaper changing area. When they go...I try to make it look like our house again.
My parents house is the same, although the potty seems to be in the bathroom all the time (although it moves to the family room during the day when the kids are there). Baby gates are installed as well. No diaper changing area, my sister only used one when the youngest was a newborn and she wasn't travelling then and now the youngest is able to sit on a chair without the little seat highchair type thing placed on top - actually safer as he was starting to tip the entire thing over.

I'm not the best diaper changer, not much experience there. I would worry about leaks, especially if I put on the one for naps/bedtime but I've been informed all were fine. My parents took like 30 minutes to change a diaper one time, yes that was both of them there. My Mom has put some on backwards a few times. When smaller, I couldn't tell front/back just by looking at them, so I would look at what he was already wearing. The ones now are obvious IMO, but my Mom doesn't think so.

It's some common sense stuff too. Youngest grabbed a container from lunch while he was still eating, food was done out of it but it had a bunch of liquid that he poured all over the table. My mom went to get paper towel right behind her. I waited a bit, but she was attempting to rip it off perfectly and it didn't want to come off. If it were me I would have just ripped it off, who cares if it's perfectly straight. I ended up grabbing paper towel/wet wipes used to wipe hands faces earlier. When I babysit I never toss out the semi-dirty stuff like that until done with food as the table and chair usually needs a good swipe just to get the big chunks before cleaning better. I was able to get the used stuff faster and that was after I sat and waited a bit and it was even further away.

They played with slime yesterday. Not the easiest to get out of the containers, I had to fiddle with it a bit to figure it out. Needs to be held upside down, stick in fingers to get a little piece sticking out (small opening) and then it can be pulled out, slow to get it all in one. Youngest needs to be closely supervised as it's not really age-appropriate. I spent a while with him where he would put it all in and then take it all out. For the out I had to the container as he wouldn't hold it upside down plus usually had to get the little bit sticking out. He was thrilled to do that over and over and would just keep repeating 'help me' until I would help him with getting it out again.
Slime came out later again, I was playing with the older one who ran me off quickly to do something else. I heard the younger saying help me numerous times and his tone was getting mad, I had to go over there and take over before the tantrum started. My Mom figured he could just manage it on his own despite the fact he was trying and not getting any out.

The slime feels oily, I was informed I had to wipe hands well before the youngest ran off to do something else. Did so, started playing with blankets and cushions. Oldest came to join us a little while later, both my parents had been with him, got him to put the slime away, wiped his hands, etc. They missed the 2 large balls of bright yellow slime on his black pants (my mom I can understand missing it due to limited peripheral vision, but had she actually looked she would have seen it and I give them over a quick look over after any slime or playdough). I was the one who ended up stopping the dog pile temporarily as he had immediate jumped into the pile causing them to stick to the cushions instead. What clings to the clothes is always a bigger issue than just the residue left on the hands, but my parents seemed oblivious to that.

There were lots of other things like that, small things, but they just happen often. They seem more concerned with tiny little things and miss the more obvious stuff. I don't think it was like that when we were little. I actually find babysitting on my own easier than with my parents in some ways as I'm not expecting for some things to be done already. Ie. It didn't occur to me I should tell the older one to wait before running over to the cushion pile as I figured my parents would have looked for slime chunks.

Our coffee tray person must have slept in today. Here's the cart with coffee, a variety of teas and other beverages. Of course, being a virtual cart, it has all you can imagine. There is of course a selection of treats and even sandwiches since it is lunch time in some parts.

I hope everyone is well today.

No baking from me at the moment ... but here's a nice bouquet of flowers from my garden! That's where I've spent most of the day today :-)

Good morning! We've made it to Friday! Coffee and tea are ready, help yourself. Also we have some donuts from yon local virtual bakery, too. Enjoy.

* takes a tea but resists the doughnuts *

Another shooting in London last night. Close to police HQ to boot. It's a tough neighborhood to start so not surprised it was there. I am going to be interested to see the crime stats for London at year end. It feels worse from the news but not sure if it really is.

Thanks for the coffee and doughnuts. I see some lovely fruit and cheese too.

I can sit and enjoy this today. No treatment for me today. :)

Hooray for a 'no treatment Friday' Northwind!! Hope you had a lovely day.

We're in dinner party mode here - son & gf are cooking for us - it a combo birthday, anniversary, father's day and summer solstice event!! And such a beautiful evening for it too.

Tomorrow morning my garden is open for a tour, so I've had a busy few days of prep for that. Then I might go off to visit pinga in the afternoon if I have enough energy :-) On Sunday, one of our refugee families will be speaking about their three years here, which should be interesting.
