Well, it is 1 am here.

Fell asleep on couch around 10:30. Woke up at midnight, went to bed.
Couldn't sleep, now going to try reading.

Haven't done this for a while.
Think tomorrow need to get more active.

Apparently you and Naman had similar problems yesterday. Maybe it was an astrological disturbance of some sort...

I thought I was doing ok this week although tired. The workout yesterday though, took out my energy. Feeling sick and exhausted again. I was sleeping, the amber alert woke me up and I was confused I was thinking it was Sat morning. Hate it when that happens.

Just got an updated alert, might be shutting my phone off for the night.

Sun is shining here, but, there was a light dusting of snow.

Water is pooling on the low areas by the road. I am thinking that the earlier melts will mean there won't be any flooding in our immediate area. The river though is impacted by the melt upstream, and there is a lot of snow up there.

Just fluffing this room up a bit. Thinking a few folks will need a gentle landing spot. Many are tired from the grey/cold January and February we had. We love our winters, yet, it felt harder this year, not sure why. I don't think we broke records.
We awoke to the shooting yesterday -- which I wont' talk about in the room, there are other places for that, but, I am aware of its impact on our lives.

So, a comfy place to sit. I am making a chicken pot pie for dinner, and there will be some hot uffins ready in a few hours, too i think. It is a baking day in this house. Need to be busy.

anyone else want to roll up their sleeves? Maybe @Carolla is making sour dough bread, or, cooking.
Pop into nibble later.

We're heading to Campbell River to spend the day with friends. The sun is out and the remnants of fog are dissipating. The mountains to my right are hazy and gorgeous. Promises to be a nice day even though it has started bloody early. :p

Ah @Pinga - you must have good intuition! I WAS baking yesterday - a batch of beautiful brioche hamburger buns. Being brioche, they are full of delicious butter & eggs and smidge of sugar too - so yummy. No need for a hamburger patty - they are delicious on their own! So here's a little basket to share ...

Well, chicken pot pie is made.
Tarts are out of oven
Chicken bones are cooking for chicken broth
Prime rib bones are cooking for beef broth
Sat down to have a coffee and eat and appp now about to make apple pies with second batch of dough. One for the freezer.

Nice to use up celery, carrots and other veggies.

Oh dear, Chemgal. Hope you got some sleep.

I just saw that alert. Hope the little guy is safe.
Lots, I got probably about 3 hours last night and then Chemguy woke me up sometime after 11 because he made eggs for breakfast.

It is world wide quilting day and so I did some quilting. Not much-just 2 6.5 inch blocks. The 2nd block was fiddly with 25 pieces. Part of my year long 1 block a week.

It is the start of spring break here and I am really feeling blah and worn out. A quiet restful day was what was needed.

Sounds like a good way to rest and relax Tabitha - just you and your fabrics. I hope spring break will you some well deserved rejuvenation - you are a busy woman - take some sabbath time.

I didn't know it was world wide quilting day today! I had already planned to make a few more blocks anyway. I can't imagine getting twenty five pieces into a 6.5 block. I would have a hard time seeing pieces that tiny. Fortunately I can still enjoy making easier quilts.
I also enjoy making 'different' items - I attached the only photo I could find on my puter to see if I could get it to post. Tada! This was for an Art Club exhibit of Reproductions.
