Looking at the map of the predicted track for Tropical Storm Florence and it looks like it's headed right through the parts of NC and TN that we visited in August. Thinking of some of the valleys I drove through up there, I'm expecting we'll see some flooding.

My weekend in PEI- it’s hot! 28 degrees and no clouds. There isn’t much shade ( few trees) on PEI. I biked along the shore this morning and sat on the beach, but at 11it was just too hot. Drove around with the car and took pics of those clear coulors of yellow straw fields, blue water and sky and marshland in all shades from green to brown. Watched the piping plovers and herons fish. Started reading a book about someone who hates to travel....
Canada geese are flying in formation. Will head to the cliff to do some more bird watching and have to pick up some red PEI sand to try myself on making sand pictures when I get home.
Tomorrow I will meet the PEI quaker worship group before heading home again.

Hot, humdrum day here...just doing yard and housework and a little t.v. watching. It's quite a luxury to feel bored! Yesterday, we watched our grandson play his first flag football game. Small town U.S.A. loves their football. Grandson played at halftime of the highschool game, and the whole entire town turned out for the big events. It was actually quite enjoyable. My husband and I got a little distracted by the clock though...obviously a newbie was working it and it didn't stop or start when it should have.

Hi. Everyone. Saturday night, waiting for football here, Saskatchewan- Ottawa. They may

get wet.You can send a little warm air here, It was 60 this am. Was freezing.

Now its a tad warm. Turned it down a bit.(The thermometer.)

I haven't been on much in the last month . I am feeling lots better but I seem to have

only Donald Trump or fast food coupons to talk about. I am quite boring. Talk tomorrow,

Hi Crazyheart, so glad you're feeling better. If you wander thru Room for All, or Forum sentence game, or even last post, you might find lots to talk about. Meantime help yourself to muffins or cookies, and hot or cold beverage of your choosing.

Ahh ... just got back from a lovely dinner with Birthstone & her Mr. We went 'downtown' - actually just to the Ossington neighbourhood in Toronto's west end - to a fabulous restaurant none of us had tried before. Israeli & mid Eastern food - so delicious!! So many great complex flavours. Would definitely go again - but it was NOISY!! So we would go earlier ... must be getting old! LOL Then we came home & sat on the deck on this wonderful warm evening, had some wine & tea and lots of wonderful conversation. Great evening.

On Tuesday I'm heading out to Vancouver Island for a visit with my Dad - send me lots of patience please. I'm looking forward to seeing him - but I also know it will also be challenging to fit into his schedule, follow all the unwritten, unknown expectations etc. I'm taking lots of knitting & reading :-) and planning to take his dog on lots of long walks.

How long will you be on the island? If by chance you're still there in the first week of October, I can offer a diversion. :)

Good to hear you are feeling lots better. I haven't had any experience with cancer treatments - our family get sick with other things!

I AM surprised though that you didn't spout off endlessly about the weather in true SK style :ROFLMAO:

Prepare that there is always someone to complain that you're whining unnecessarily about altruism ... a poorly understood word ... like God ... these pass, on Eire! Usually unbalanced ... so if you are wise get a bit unbalanced so as to fit in with a hard base ... fundamentally speaking ... thus scales fly!

I'm packing this afternoon - or rather trying to figure out what minimal clothing to take along to BC to mix & match, so I have lots of room in my carry on bag for my knitting stuff! Weather looks definitely cooler than here, rain jacket a must. Shoes always present a conundrum for me. Sigh. Not the biggest problem in the world, that's for sure.

@crazyheart - I will wave to you from the plane as I pass overhead! Out via Calgary, home via Edmonton. Quick connections - so hopefully all the flights will be on time! Last trip to see my Dad, I was almost 2 hours late leaving Toronto (boarded on time, then kept being delayed after being on the plane) - so that created quite a calamity of missed connection & no way to communicate with him. Started that visit on a bad footing. Hoping for a better experience this time for sure.

My flight home from TO this summer had problems. The plan we were to Board had hit a bird.. So a 2 hour delay as we got another one ready. I knew we would miss our connection in Calgary and the flight only goes 2x a day. My son was a day short of his medication as well.
Late deplaning in Calgary as we had to wait for an empty gate.
We were put up in a hotel- after midnight by time we collected our luggage and shuttle to hotel. No rooms with 2 beds so we were given 2 rooms beside each other. Turned out they were suites with adjoining doors. (Note this is my son with mental health issues so we choose to be close when we travel. Perfect! We were given generous vouchers for airport food as well as a free hotel breakfast. And so we arrived home 24 hours later than planned. All was well but I do wonder if his subsequent downhill turn may have been due to too many days off meds)

Oooo ... patience, tolerance, loving kindness, holding my tongue, I'm working hard! Visit is going pretty well - except for the several hours each evening of FOX NEWS - and tonight it's featuring the Trump campaign rally .... sigh. But at least the Jays had a great bottom of the 9th tonight & won the game!!
