Chemguy has decided to go on a bit of a diet. People at work have been counting calories and he's been thinking about it for a while and I guess this was the push. Nothing major, he tends to think of a serving of cookies as being 4, so he thinks tracking will help him cut back on all the calories from stuff in between meals.

He's using an app. It rates foods on a letter scale as well. Apparently we would have been better off eating store bought bread (A+) or Purdy's hedgehogs (A-) over the cherry tomatoes (B) we had with dinner.
I don't expect food ratings like that to be perfect, but I can't figure out why tomatoes (there are multiple types) are in the B range.

They just B tomatoes ... they can't B anything else at presence ... other than being on their way 2 being digested into something else .. an alternate? Tis life as things move and change ... some can't ... thus the stone Wahl moans ... noble b' east? Opposes the occidental ... that which would consume everything and all would be uniform ... schitz ... a phrenic switch!
.
Leaves some really edgy ... on the fringe? Some of us are comfortable lookin onto the follicles ... life is hairy ... follies naturally to those denying there surroundings as meat on the bonnie uprights ... Charlie Brown once toasted by Lucy as she directed his foot ... where? Chez controlled the Ba Lem ... sol of the heart ... in widespread tongues if you can gather ... tis accrued thingy ... oppositional noble brute ... depressed women? Implicit or explicit ... you don't know until defining the innis and outies ... buttons to be fiddled with! Careful what you push ... some require considerable pull ... or they don't start right ... and that's what you're left with ... waste's not!

Tomatoes are actually fairly high in sugar. I use my fitness pal it counts calories but also gives breakdown of sugar, salt, protien, carbs etc. You can customize what it tracks. I've been on a break but will begin tracking again on the 1st.

Pretty sure that chocolate has more! haha

What a wonderful room this is.
I can smell some cooking, and am enjoying the banter.

It was quiet for a bit, so glad someone came in and swept the cobwebs out.

Artemis decided to join us. She's currently on my shoulder purring like mad. She loves cuddles and is hypoallergenic in this room. This chair is comfy.

Trying to decide if I'm going to carry the cat down to the scale downstairs or bring scale up here to try and calculate the enormous cat's weight per P3s question elsewhere. Atwood thinks I should bring the scale up here. She's conveying that info via a baleful blue glare that says "carry me downstairs? and who would that be good for?"...

To paraphrase C3PO, "Let the kitty win."

Carry the one that’s lighter.

Carry the one that’s lighter.

Such levi tae ... adds to Wilder Penfield's layout of the homunculus ... the little one living in the head man ... sometimes a demon that controls ... the freedom people with wiles don't like him as he casts an evil eye of understanding ... wisdom ...

And what overly passionate large people would want to know that ... they probably run off with your marble(s) ... carve a beauty inite ...

Did you know the head-man ... brain has no feeling ... just ability to question without pain ... earthy headmen will not have questions posed ... or they have your head ... like the Judean-Roman Governor did to common John's resulting in the crappier side of myths ... fecund? Tis a decent side of the cathexis to learn as mortification of emotions ... some just don't get it ... and thus sigh NG in the pines ... tis Kadijah facsimile of homunculous as pines cultivae aprine ... a basal hor mon ...

Word is like that ... difficult ... a pain in the Don Key ... due to half an urge to know not ... an unknowing aria in the brain sometimes heard in the dark as a BUZZ ... you're stung when the thought descends! Then the point as knowledge is said to be a lessor evil by some mythical Eros ...

Then many say psycho logic is non-existent ... kind of out there ... according to JP Sartre ... and supported by at least one dictionary posing as a' Lexus? A'lexii ... did you Xii it going ... one must alloy them parts like an -ite ... suffixed to the former part ... Sus-La! Tis behind or underneath as opposing ut there stance ... a place for SETI 'n ... and there it fell for the time as follies in a world of passion ... a splash of sol as stated by that notorious IESus ... practically eliminated ... in the backwash ...

Can one go for a spin 've thoughts Just s I Am? Or is there a religious protocol to try and control the naïveté in common folks ... a retainer bi-law?

So UN forgotten ...

Drag one on ... edited to drag one ... and even less ... small dragons in mind? That head thing ... conjured light ... in flaming !

I am sad today. My parents were to arrive on Tues-and spend next weekend at the Scotties. Dad is sick with lung infection-likely pneumonia and Mom has just gotten over flu but is now coughing along with Dad. I had noticed how much they had aged when I was there Dec/Jan for 7 days. They have not been here for a few years. Mom is probably well enough to come but Dad is not well enough to be left alone-and is not driving-under dr.'s orders.
This was to have been a time of milder weather and rest for them. It's plus 5 here.
My youngest is also disappointed.

I am sad with you and youngest. Disappointed anticipation just feels shitty. These flu bugs going around seem to be very nasty and persistent ones. Both of the old guy's parents have ended up in hospital this fall/winter with complications from flu. A friend of mine from church, a very able-bodied and enthusiastic late-middle-aged woman, has been absolutely felled by it.

I am sad at the moment, as well. A very good friend of mine from church is 88. Her daughter, who is not a church goer, is my age. They live together, with daughter's collection of dogs (down to one, now). Daughter has been battling colon cancer for 6-7 years. Mom, my friend, has been her caregiver. In the last few months, all treatments having been now declared failed, C____ had become unable to walk her dog any more. A farmer friend of theirs, and I, have shared Bailey-walking duties. Yesterday, my friend informed me that I didn't need to walk Bailey any more. Her daughter had moved into hospice, and Bailey would be moving in with the farmer friend. My friend is very at peace with her daughter's impending death, and she has huge and lovely amounts of support from her family and many friends. But still, it is sad. And Lucy and I will miss our daily walks with Bailey.

I am also sad today. A friend’s husband has left her. She is not doing well and I feel terrible that I cannot be there for her as much as I would like (she lives overseas). We had a long telephone call but I would give the world to give her a hug right now.

ah I am glad we can come together in this room.
Bette-you will miss walking Bailey. Hospice does sound like the right place for the daughter-and a time for all to recognize that her life is drawing to an end.

Yes greywolf-it is hard when a marriage ends. I have walked that route myself. Glad you could talk to your friend on the phone.
Do take care my firends....

Lots of sadness in our circles today.

Setting the fire, putting out the comforters, some fresh fruit sitting out, and lots of iced water with lemon.
A hot pot of tea, and time to sit with friends.

Rest well, folks
