You have wireless Internet. That's fine. You can use it wherever you go. I'm guessing you're with Optus? Just looked at a page with Australian providers.
If you have a landline phone, there seems to be $35/month DSL with 50GB+ plans. But if the mobile stick works for you, keep it.

Most young folks have ditched their landlines here in Oz - but we oldies love them and keep them. I've had my phone for so long its a part of me. The calls are cheaper than mobiles -and we can talk for hours (my record is 3 hours) and the line is always clearer than my mobile -important when your hearing isn't as good as it once was......
Besides, there are some good deals. I can (and do) ring Crazyheart in Canada for $2.50 - just so long as I don't go over 15 minutes. As we're sharing the roofer it's only fair that I inform her every time his plane lands here in Oz.
