taking his time expounding on the differentiation between pre-destination and pre-determinism. No berry is so good that a bowl of them will get me to remove anything but my hesitation to discuss theology in a crowd of strangers.

It did go a bit overboard when @revjohn got up on the table and started taking his - well, never mind. It's seared into my head and will be a source of nightmares for the rest of my life.

Have a good day all!
I'm setting up my "the shrink is in" booth in the corner ... feel free to drop by!

With my 4-hour exam complete, I'm now free to enjoy the summer. What to do? What to read? Where to go? Charcoal ice cream?

Feeling a bit overwhelmed tonight. How can it be fair to be worrying about the earthly well-being of both ex-husband and long-time lover at the same time?

Even when we know that life isn't fair, sometimes it feels overwhelming eh. Would it help any to write down your thoughts and feelings? If nothing else you will have the option of putting the paper aside at bedtime while telling yourself that there is now nothing to fret and stew about.

I could volunteer to massage your feet while you enjoy your cuppa tea. I put a quilt over on the couch should you want to wrap it around you.

Sorry Bette to hear of the troubling journey of your companions with whom you've journeyed so long and far in your life. I can certainly see how that would feel overwhelming. Hoping you can rest a bit and find peace this evening, even if briefly.

Good morning all! Another beautiful morning (at least herre in the East).

Bette, I hope you are enjoying a good sleep. No need to get up yet. But when you do, I'll have breakfast ready. How does toast with yogurt and strawberries sound? (strawberries are from this year but have been mashed and in the freezer for a few weeks - the season is over here and rsaspberries and blueberries aren't quite ready.)

Bette...I hear you about the worrying. And worrying doesn't really do anyone any good, but sometimes it's uncontrollable. I'm guessing it's because you care so much.

Wedding bells: My daughter is getting married in a very non-traditional wedding ceremony this weekend. The party should be fun, but I'm worried that the weather might make it less fun. The plan is to get married at Whitefish Point on Lake Superior, blessing the rings in the water (Edmund Fitzgerald sank not far from here; hope that's not a bad omen!), pictures at a beautiful falls nearby, and then a grand reception in their backyard in Michigan: complete with bouncy houses for kids AND adults. Over 150 people will join in the fun. It's not at all religious, but it is generous and inclusive. Looking forward to it.
