I'm feeling a bit stressed. Baack to work tomorrow as spring break ends and I feel like I have too many things on the go. Hockey billets return Tues/Wed. A student starts with me Mon at work.
OT student, do you mean? They can be good to have around but it's a bit of work to get them oriented.

I totally understand Tabitha.

How come I didn't know aobut your trip to India -- awesome, where are you going?

Busy time Tabitha! Trip to India coming up?? I'd love to hear more about that once things quiet down a bit for you! I have friends who have been there all winter with their two kids ages 6 and 10 - quite a family adventure!

India is this summer Carolla. I'm a volunteer OT who will be supervising Mcmaster OT students at a small centre that does (male ) spinal cord rehab, a special school-for kids with autism, and a huge early intervention program. # full time PTs and 1 part-time OT work there -all Indian nationals-and canadian students, and their supervisors visit for 6 week stints. (UBC and Mcgill and U of M all send students)

I'm getting pretty good at avoiding the use of that letter that doesn't work on my computer. -uickly becomes rapidly, or fast. 'looking for answers replaces '-uestioning'. Or today I used 'concerns' for '-uestions'. '-ueer' can be 'strange' or'different'. 're-uest' is 'ask'. 're-uire' is 'need'. You get the idea.
Seelerman says that he thinks there is an old keyboard in our basement. I call him a hoarder, but sometimes it comes in handy to have him hang onto things. Now I just have to nag him to find it and install it.

Oh yeah. Sorry Seeler, my apologies, I completely forgot. I said I was going to avoid using that letter in order to stand in solidarity with you.

'ueer ... just extends my imagination to ... where?

Has anyone found the location of the mythical organ?

Sounds amazing Tabitha! One of our staff went to Cameroon in Africa for several years on similar teaching stints with U of T. Another group of our OT staff went to Pakistan I think it was after an earthquake quite a few years ago - similarly to do and teach neuro, spine, & amp skills to therapists & nurses there. So interesting to see the culture as it all plays out in health care setting.

Seelergirl's cat is staying with us for the next two weeks. He's a big grey-black tabby with a lot of white (chest, belly, front legs). He's settling in fairly well - he's been here before but not recently. Generally aloft, he occasionally rubs up against Seelerman's legs, and last night he choose to sleep with me. Why does a fifteen pound cat need 3/4 of a double bed? I kicked him off at 4:00 am. It's nice to have him around.

We no longer have a cat but I remember the way they used to lay claim to the spots they wanted to sleep on. We had one whose night time sleeping pad of choice was - head on one pillow, behind on the other. In that position he could disturb both of us!

There's a reason why I now maintain a critter-free bedroom. In my early years, I sacrificed too much sleep, and room on the bed, to critters.

Second night for Squirt in our home (No, I didn't name him). We got home from a dance sometime afteer eleven pm. Seelerman unthinking unlocked and opened the door, then turned back to the car for something. I have my shoebag and my purse in my hands. Squirt zips out between my legs. Cat on the loose in the dark in a fairly unfamiliar neighbourhood. We called. We coaxed with kitty treats. We walked around the perimeter of our driveway, knowing he was nearby. We retreated, giving him space; watching him out the window as he prowled around the car, the perinneal bed, the front steps. We tried again. He wouldn't let us within two feet of him. We left the side door open and retreated to the livingroom. A bit later Seelerman went to check. Squirt was sitting in the kitchen looking at him. He quickly closed the door.

Again last night Squirt slept with me. I could get used to having this cat around.

By the way, I just noticed. I can type Squirt. And quickly, and quietly, and request, and question.
I asked Seelerman if he had changed the keyboard when I wasn't loooking. No. He just noticed that the Q key didn't go down, so he pushed hard on it and it let go. The little finger on my left hand is my weakest among weak fingers. I usually have to use a different finger for Z, but now I can manage Q again. Wow!

That is quite a quirky q Seeler! Glad you got the kitty back. When I was a cat-owner we had a few scary times when we couldn't find him. My sister and I shared an apartment and were excited to fill it with furniture and animals. The cat's name was Casey and he used to jump up to the top of the screen to look in the door window whenever he wanted in. We let him out regularly. (I was young, had grown up on a farm, didn't understand the ways of city living). He got hit by a car and didn't come home for about 3 days. When he finally dragged himself home, he was in bad shape and needed surgery. That cat lived to be 17 years old, ended up with my parents on the farm when my sister and I moved on, and was well loved, and is well remembered.

Squirt ...and they say cats have no sapience ... an extension on sentience! Leaves some of us saponified in the white washing ...
