They. stole. a. boat. from. you? That's terrible! So very brazen. I hope they are swiftly brought to justice.

Hopefully, they get a good paddling. :D

@Tabitha , sorry to hear. They'll grab anything that isn't tied down, IME.

I lost my first good bike when someone swiped it from the side of our family home. Dad's insurance covered it since it was on our property and I was actually able to replace it with a better one (that lasted me until I was in my forties, when I decided that a racing style frame and bars didn't suit my aging back). Maybe you'll get a new boat out of the deal?

Not this time. While I have boats insured under my homeowners policy the replacement value of this one is $300 and that's less than my deductible.

Drat. Two men pulled up at 5 pm loaded up my green kayak and drove away. Neighbour saw them and the thieves waved at him. Police report filed but not holding out hope.

On the positive note-it is my least expensive boat and hadn't been used for 2 years.
Ah yes ... the friendly wave tactic. Did your neighbour think to get the plate number? Crummy situation.

Ugh. Those deductibles can really bite you sometimes. Not even sure without checking what the deductible on my home policy is. Never had to make a claim under it.

That really sucks. You may want to put a note on kijiji or your local buy and sell about how worried you are about the people who took it because of the near invisible holes and the work that was in progress to fix it....

Speaking of stolen boat stories (I don't think I told this one before) - when I was in university I worked at can tire. A man was struggling with a canoe. A few of us grabbed it and helped him out to his car, tied it down and wished him on his way. We then reentered the store to find out that he was stealing the canoe. If I only had half that gumption...

Great idea Justme - to post it as stolen. Many years ago, our house was broken into & many items stolen. I checked a nearby pawn shop & there I saw the watch I had given my husband as a wedding gift. I said nothing, but I went home & called the police, who kindly recovered the item for me. These thieves are often not too smart in how they dispose of goods!

I worn out right now, weather has been playing havoc with me for the past month or so and I just got back from the rare blood disorder clinic.

I got some fantastic news though! Since berinert has a more concentrated form that was produced for the subcutaneous trial that has now been approved by Health Canada, I'm switching to it! It's still only approved for IV, as the new route is still in testing phases, but my doctor is going to let me do that off-label!
No more attempting to hit a vein twice a week!
I'm a bit confused as to what's going on for attacks now, as I'll be given a new medication for them now. I'm not sure if I am only to use that for attacks or if I have a choice. So I might not be completely IV free, but with needing them so infrequently I should have some good hand and arms veins to pick from when I do need it.

Woo hoo! My son's first serious ski injury! Okay, not that bad. Torn shoulder muscle.

Took him to urgent care and now he's booked to see the local sports medicine clinic. Between skiing and cycling, I have a feeling I'm going to be getting to know the sport medicine field very well.

Just came back home from visiting a couple of women from my church who are now in long term care.

Praying for each of them.

Thanks, now I just need to wait things out a bit. I'm not entirely sure when I get the new stuff. I have training next week, so maybe then. Another great thing is my doctor is concerned with how many attacks I still have and that I don't really have much of a life. So I will also be doing it more often, which is much easier without the stress of finding a useful site. I brought up the idea of increased frequency last year, but I also didn't really want to do that.

Mendella - ouch! I managed to avoid most besides a broken knee. I was pretty cautious though.

Jae, is that something new you are doing?

Be safe everyone. Be well everyone. Be free from thieves off everyone. So much news in so few posts.

My kid had her garbage can stolen the other day. Why the bleep would someone want to steal a garbage can? every residence in town got one free when we got commercial pick up. Can't imagine that any of them got worn out.

I too was visiting tonight. Just a short visit for an 85 year old woman who I sometimes drive to Presbytery meetings.
She was in town to help her daughter and took ill. This is my second visit. I brought her a prayer shawl from our church this time. Last time I asked if she'd like one and she said yes.

I am on my way home after a good week.
Chemgal, sounds promising. Fingers crossed
Tabitha, crappy about the kama
Mendalla, though oldest son was in a lot of contact or injury sports (hockey, football and soccer) we seemed to be lucky. Youngestson played soccer and volleyball and also seemed to stay well. Maybe you will get lucky.
Kay, wierd that is what they would take

Be safe, be out there, be beyond men ... be free to nail it down ... what is often un construed as something that be nailed when up ... an OBI? There are stranger metaphors for those that despise words about human scroo whoops ...

Some say this is jus Po' ethics on the loose beyond what's mortal ... be the death of me self ... as part of me 's engulf d as the words explicitly were released of the human condition ... a screw-up in the heavens omegadnot tell ... about the swell time that beh ad ... as nun Beta than de first when you got it over with ... the gift of conjured sects?
