I am 10 min from a Walmart Superstore but they don't deliver to my postal code. Go figure. Since it's that close, I can curbside.
Yeah, that's what we do and also why I know that there is delivery now 'in my neighbourhood' - the ads when I do the grocery order.

oo?

007 ... the perfect number!

Possibly derived from the Hebrew "Q" ... ק ... as a crutch or something to hang something from ... emotions are like that!

Some openness of sol and emotional spirit is of extensive assistance ... someone said this may be an extant intelligence ... contrary to innate!

Allows ins and outs ... fluid sol supporting the old myth that water is the support system of mind/soul/psyche ... or it'll burn up ... pyre vessels?

There are many abstract implications ...

They may need correction in ordering given the chaos ...

Kimmio. I love Italian sausage in turkey

but I hate cooking for myself. End up eating lots of eggs and bagels when I am alone. or popcorn. Lol

i hope the weather improves and you get your supplies

Plus, some people like myself can’t deal too well with raw meat, and I loath touching it. It’s a thing. A real thing. I’m okay once it gets cooking but it really makes me queasy.
I'm with you on that. The smell of meat before it's cooked gets to me too, especially burger. When I'm on my own I like to use some sort predone chicken if using meat that isn't raw, like M&M foods stuff, or chicken strips. Or putting raw chicken into a slower cooker - it's gross but the extended time before I have to eat it means the ick factor is gone by the time I'm eaiting.

The perfect Bond-ing experience, maybe?
Maybe connecting the blind, crippled personality attribute with no teeth ... Long John Silver? Ahab's rehabilitation ... bibliomania?

A certain depths is there more to be read ...

Depth is frightening to masses because of the dark mysterious attributes ... agoraphobia? Imagine sol running bare ...

All things exposed ... even the indeterminates? Myths to the determined ...

Couldn't happen by rites ... deep into the rites ... further understanding? A form of entendre ... I hear' dite ...

If you look at it in reciprocal form it appears as a toothless mouth ... with gummies ... monster from the depths?

Ba Toute 'v Elle ... some traditions dropping the "H"! Others use it as a delimiter ...

It is surprising the number of folk where this also is an unknown ... unseen!

You did know that "Ba" was once understood to have been sol ... singular as second in line ... Beta?

Ba Humbug say alternate emotional opinions!

We have a great butcher here and get some of our meat there. They have a rolled turkey that is stuffed. It is perfect for two or four people. We ordered one for Christmas. We could chose the size, light or dark meat and between two types of stuffing. One thing we like about this place is they use local meats where possible and make their prepared foods on site. It feels better than some mass produced things that have extra chemicals and additives.

It's striking that the people who would benefit from planning meals and filling the freezers may not have the space or finances to do it.

@Kimmio Laughterlove are there any community kitchen groups near you? I realize that with the pandemic they may be on hold or not taking new members. That might be a resource for you. I got a new appreciation for how much energy standing uses when I was getting chemo. Just standing long enough to wash a few dishes was exhausting, nevermind preparing a whole meal.

This is my view from my comfy seat today. We're in our second storm warning. It will be gone soon though.

Yes there are. Well, not too far on the bus. I think they're making limited packaged meals during covid but I'm not sure how one qualifies. Once that's over, I should get involved.

My step brother helped me to the bus stop. Part pushing my walker with him spotting me. Part carrying my walker on on hand while I held his arm. Then he had to leave it on the corner, walk me to the bus (I held the pole), run back and get it just before the bus pulled up! There was a pile of snow at the stop. The driver couldn't lower the ramp. Two people helped me on. I was only on for about 3 minutes! Getting off was clearer. The parking lot was clearer. I loaded my walker up with groceries (got some help from my dad with a bit of $ for valentines. I could've ordered but I already made up my mind to try this adventure) and then took a taxi home because I was exhausted and sore all over by that point.

Part of it is I'm really de-conditioned using my scooter everyday. I ought to do this more often on better days. I did it before a year ago, before I had the scooter. I've only had it since Dec 2019 but I got really used to it. I'm "supposed to alternate" according to the OT.

All stocked up for awhile. I even got a little airplane bottle of baileys at the liquor store next door, to have with the coffee I bought! And some cinnamon raisin bread was on sale. My valentines treat to myself! I'm feeling like that was a big accomplishment.

Looks so cosy and homey in your RV @Northwind!

I realize that this dump of snow was fairly sudden and isn't common. Clearly people with mobility issues are forgotten. There are some simple things, like clearing bus stops well, that can make a big difference. We had a huge snow storm in our last winter in Toronto. There was more snow than I'd ever seen. They did a terrible job of clearing snow in the city. The burbs got better service. A person had to be part mountain goat to go even two blocks. You would not have been able to get around at all I'm sure @Kimmio Laughterlove. Certainly frail elderly with canes/walkers or people in wheelchairs would have been stuck for a couple weeks during that time. That's unacceptable in any of our major cities in particular.

We are very comfy here.

LOL. Is that a heater or something on the floor? When I first saw it, my geek brain was trying to figure out why you had a tower server.

London seems to be pretty good about bus stops and mailboxes, at least from what I have seen. I have not used LTC in eons, though, and mostly see stops on main roads. Maybe the ones off the main drag aren't as well kept.

Only main roads are plowed here, and downtown sidewalks. I think our little road was salted and we walked on the tire tracks to get to the corner. Neighbours are responsible for their own sidewalks. There is a fine but it's not like I'm going to report my landlords, who are family, and my next door neighbour. If the sidewalks, main road and curb cuts were clear I could still use my scooter. It has good treads. It should not be so complicated to go a few blocks. If we had 4 feet okay, but even then, I've seen (in photos) winter cities make paths.

Looks like an air filter, isn't it? I have one similar.

Here, main roads certainly get done first, but the rest are generally done within 24 hours or so unless it's a "Snowmaggedon" storm that lasts for 2 or 3 days.

But, I guess West Coast cities just aren't as prepared given they get less of the white stuff. I know the Seattle resident I mentioned joked that they are a one-plow town. Here, my nephew (works for a construction firm that does plowing in winter) is on call as soon as a storm is forecast and has to be up at like 2am.

It's a heater. Our fireplace stopped working a while ago and we realized it helped make our sitting area a little warmer. The TV is currently in the down position. When it's up, it blocks the window in the photo. We use the heater to warm this area a bit so the bedroom doesn't get real warm. We'd be fine without it. This balances our propane and electric bills which may be a smidge more economical.

I was reading in the City page that it's not in the budget given how infrequently this happens. They did invest in more equipment after the Great Snow Dump of '95. It was the year of/ before I moved to Vancouver. That year, they called in the army to clear roads and put sandbags down. Corner stores were sold out of bread. Everything closed. People were walking with ski poles down main streets and on the radio they were pleading with anyone who owned snowmobiles to help hospital staff get to work! We really had next to no winter equipment here then, and about 3-4 feet of snow - probably 4 if I remember! My neighbour dug a tunnel out my door. I was home alone because my roommate was in Hawaii! It was a State of Emergency. So after that, they invested in some proper equipment but still expect the communities to do their bit to help.
