Oh yes I remember those stars, too. There was a little 5 in a circle in the center, right?
 
No-one ever worried about drinking and driving, seatbelts were absent or optional, and it's a wonder we're all here today...
 
I AM SO FRICKING READY FOR 2020 to be done.

Just got news that a friend, co-conspirator, light, bright, funny, clever woman from our community has died unexpectedly. So many sad souls in our church as word gets circulated, so many people thinking of those who are sad, and who will be impacted.

My head is reeling..

Thoughts and good vibes coming your way. Sounds like there's a whole community needing them.

(And, yeah, I am in a "f*** 2020" mood as well, though for rather different reasons)

Let us gather around the coffee cart, as we prepare to face the day. Agreed that we can't wait for this year to end... but the season of Advent seems to be all about waiting. Let us rest assured that the year WILL end, pandemics WILL be overcome, things can and will get better.

And there it was ... dark and unseen! was like many stories ... a mystery!
 
Yup, @Lastpointe . I asked my husband what colour they were and he said royal purple -- to go with Crown Royal. I could have sworn ours were blue, but, could be faded (or my memory is faded)

It will be hard morning at our church and another local one this morning. Much loved family.

I know sometimes that it is what you pay attention to, and that you can become sensitive to news, but, dang, the shitty stuff just seems to keep rolling in from far as well as close to home.

My newest granddaughter i two months old, and is a cuddly, dimpled little girl, and so I am planning our christmas dinner so that i have lots of cuddly time, and not much time in the kitchen.

Good to hear Mrs Anteater's sister is recovering.
