Welcome to Wondercafe2!

Good morning! Still too dark to see what is going on out there, but in about a week, that trend should change. As we think about old Christmas items that can be given new purpose and use, let us also remember the renewal that goes n inside and outside. (OK, it made sense while I was typing it....)
Anyway, water is hot and coffee is ready. Come and get it.

Our parent company's IT group are having a virtual happy hour for the IT folks in our group on Friday (last day everyone is around before the holidays). Some of us are on the wrong side of the border so we don't get to see them very often even pre-COVID. Most of us are in London, though, so used to have in-person meetings from time to time. No shop talk allowed, though I'm sure some IT news stories like Solarwinds will get discussed. :D

And hello, @paradox3. Nice to see you.

We had our last Tuesday night group meeting of the year tonight via Zoom. Chose the very nice Kairos Christmas message as the focus for our discussion: Kairos video

Since we'd normally have a pot luck supper, or at least a pot luck sharing of nummy treats IRL, we all had eggnog or shortbreads or mincemeat tarts to toast the holidays!

P.S. Lovely to "see" you for the holidays, P3!

We are having -20 with windchill today and a snow storm coming tomorrow.
where are the hot beverages?

Should we talk this through to deal with the immaterial as in!

Dialectic:
  1. 1.
the art of investigating or discussing the truth of opinions.

    Similar:
    reasoning

    argumentation

    contention

    logic

    discussion

    debate

    dialogue

    logical argument

    ratiocination

  2. 2.
inquiry into metaphysical contradictions and their solutions.
Delay ... wait ... for the essence!

Could this be discussed with rationale, or only in opinionated form when physically apprehended?

  3. Imagine an essence embedded! Wait for it delay the conclusion as it is yet to come in essence of Eire! Could be a ghost of word appearing as a thought in a blink'n!

Thesis, antithesis, resolution ... and after that Hooknows ... and the sentient od*ore may whip you out of the pool as in humane ... then goan!

That's the spirit ... hoo Kahn jerk ...

Our coffee cart person is an hour earlier where he is. I know where it is and "voila". You can grab your own cups pls. Or Redbaron will put some out later. He deserves a sleep in.

The coffee is here! Tea is here, too. Hot chocolate as well. Dress warm and help yourself.

Was cold here today too ... and apparently my car battery didn't approve. Dead. So Merry Christmas to me ... new battery in my stocking I guess!

Good morning, all! In the midst of the snowstorm, let us find a ray of summer sunshine around the coffee cart. Stay safe out there, those who are in the path.

Sitting in cold but clear Northern Ontario...hoping that the snowstorm east and southeast of here does not devastate too much. Today...I will attend choir practice to prepare for our Christmas Eve service next week, which will be on-line. I look forward all week to this little outing. Yesterday our church was a depot for the local Christmas Cheer givings. I went but they had too much help (nice problem!) so I did a bit of work, and then went home. Still tutoring the young fellow: Yesterday, he had a hard time focusing and sitting until I made up a game where I was trying to trick him. Of course, he was untrickable (and learning his Jolly Phonics actions besides!). Also saw a rheumatologist yesterday...a very young doctor...who reviewed all of my most recent x-rays and blood tests to date. He is the third doctor I've seen and the only one who told me the results. He was surprised! And when I left, he said how nice it was to have met me! I felt the same. I probably remind him of his mother...He is about my oldest son's age.
