Good morning all. Too hot for coffee. Yikes. We need rain and fingers crossed it looks stormy on the weekend

trying to decide what to do with too many strawberries

Are you smoothie fans? I ended up just pureeing a batch and freezing that in small containers for smoothies.

Good morning. It's a dreary rainy day here. I'm sitting in the recliner with a quilt over my lap. I'm knitting a sweater. I'm feeling a bit obsessed with the sweater and want to see it progress. I don't have anywhere to go today, so I'll be able to work on it.

Too hot for coffee.

Amen. I had a couple cups of tea for breakfast (7am so not too bad yet) and have been sticking to water since. Usually I'd be on to another tea by now.

And amen on the need for rain, too. Looks like London might get some at the end of week with 60% chance of precip on Saturday and Sunday but that number is a bit low for my taste, esp. since Saturday was "Periods of rain" earlier and that's what we really need now.

I once took a tram ride through an abandoned coal mine that had become a tourist trap attraction. Such fun. But tea leaves and coffee beans do not grow underground. So let us surface and gather round the coffee cart.

As a child we went through an underground cave system, I think it might have been in Austria. You took a really long slide down, then walk around there, there was a large underground lake, and then took a mini train to the surface. I must have been quite young, but that slide and the train were lasting memories.

It's cooler here on the island and I did most of the work on cooler days. :) It's not a 30+ degree knitting project. Thanks

I actually floated in a cool pool for an hour and half or so today. Helped a lot with the overheating, but my skin isn't thanking me. Don't know if it was the sunscreen or the sun, but my bad patches hurt tonight.

Good morning! The beverage cart is up and running. Help yourself. (Maybe you can find a cup or mug to match your buttons... )

New tea today. Wakoucha, which apparently means "Japan Red Tea". "Red Tea" is what some Asian cultures call black tea, so it's basically a Japanese black. And it is good. Only ever had green from Japan in the past so this is something new.

Sorry to hear that Bette. I bet it was the sunscreen and water combo. I have leery of sunscreen unless there is no choice. Hats, long sleeve shirt even in water seem better

maybe some nice aloe lotion to sooth?
