Yeah, I just heard from my GP who was super kind to call me this morning to confirm she would be checking in between patients and got the call close to closing. She can just go by what was on the report. It gives me no new information as to what might actually be going on, just that nothing is really taking up sugar faster than everything else, besides my one kidney, but that is an entire area of the kidney and not a spot nor excessive. MRI is recommended, and that was booked before this anyway - that is next week.

Good morning everybody, can one say, no bad news is good news, chemgal? Everyone here is feeling with you. Hope you are not claustrophobic in MRI machines, I found it helped to close my eyes and picture that air blowing through is a nice breeze from the ocean.

The cat is happy to have me around everyday and I could easily get used to sleep in until it gets bright out ( after seven right now) and go to sleep when I can’t keep my eyes open any longer. Crawled back into bed to check on Wondercafe, drinking my coffee, outside is an icy wind which adds more minus to -5 degrees ( but sunshine).
Will finish a Christmas present for my best friend today, who wished for a shopping bag with inside compartments.
Might visit my neighbours today.

That's a variation of what I did. I also had a sense of curiosity about the noises. If I'd been in the machine five minutes longer in my second MRI I would have fallen asleep.

We're having lunch with long-time friends today. They are on the island to visit family and head home today. It's always nice to get together with them.

Are these the same friends who enjoyed your homemade lasagna? Now me, I enjoyed lunch about 14 hours ago, here in my luxury apartment in downtown Suwon.

No, different friends. Yesterday it was my sister and brother-in-law along with their neighbours who are also friends. Today it's friends from the community where we used to live. The lasagna was great.

I am curious why you keep mentioning that you have a luxury apartment. It gives the impression you like to stress this because Northwind lives in more simple accommodations. Which she chose to do and appears to be quite happy with.

The are some things that are fixations in the mental state of the non existent thing .... sometimes a nominalization of psyche. There are those that will not accept such words as such things should be saved, preserved and salted down ...

Thus the soul is out of real altruism ... there are groups that will even eliminate thought ...

MRI will likely be a bit shorter than the PET-CT scan. The issue I had with that was a tickle in my throat close to the end, spent minutes trying to suppress that.
In general my issues with being scanned is nothing to do with claustrophobia, it's to do with being still or being uncomfortable. The worst was actually xrays when I had a broken knee as a kid, they were forcing it into really painful positions.

I am just quite fond of our luxury apartment is all. I'm happy that @Northwind has a place she loves to be at. We do as well. We chose to be here, and are quite happy. Ain't nothing wrong with that.

Free choice is important ... especially without responsibility for how the choice come to be ... source aerie!

Chuck humility!

Ive seen some RVs that would put a luxury apartment to shame. Even the simple ones are quite lovely. And theyre owned.

And theyre owned.

So are a lot of luxury apartments. We call them condos but a unit in a high-rise is an apartment whether owned or rented. In fact, it can be both. Our first home in London was a two-bedroom condo apartment that we rented from the owner while out house was being built.

And a condo need not be an apartment. There are actually detached condos in my neighborhood.

And that is lovely and we are truly happy for you. But your constant mention of it comes across as "oneupmanship".

Trolling behaviour. It doesn't get under my skin. It's sad frankly when someone thinks that luxury makes them a better person.

Ours would be considered luxury by some. It certainly would be too much for weekending. There are also much fancier units. I chose not to lord it over anyone. We chose this for comfort. The biggest luxury of RV living is the wheels. We can pick up and move if we wish. :)
