Hi, it's me. Your old pal Seeler. As you know I'm house sitting for Mraanteater. Before she left she set me up on her old Ipad. Well i've done something to it and neither seelerman nor I can get it working. and for some unknown reason I can;t get into my account on seelerman's laptop. I;m going through withdrawal, so seelerman set up this account in his name and letting me use it.

I dare say this is against the code of conduct, but I'm hoping to be able to use it until we go home next week.
 
Hi seeker/seeler it's good to see you. I hope you're enjoying your holiday. Maybe this will encourage seelerman to join us. :)
 
I hope. in our travels he has met a few of the group. he probably won't post much but may check in (to keep tabs on me?)

Saw the seeker account before I saw this and being the diligent geek that I am, i determined it was coming from Mrs. Anteater's Internet connection and speculated it might be Seelerman or seeler.:nerd:

I actually use seeker on another board but I was pretty sure it wasn't me. Though one never knows.o_O:cool:
 
I don't think mine are out yet. Our season is later than yours, I guess. We don't get many anyhow and I'm thinking of digging out the patch and putting something else there.

Horrors! Ours arrived uncommonly early because of unseasonable heat. However, blueberries or grapes might be more adaptable where you live...

My IPad is old, it might be at the end of its time. i will let junior know, maybe he can figure it out. I hope he was there to mow the lawn.
 
Can you get it to turn off and on? My tablet has frozen up before.
If it's an actual ipad google says -
If turning the iPad off and back on again doesn't fix the problem, or the iPad is unresponsive when you try to turn it off, you have to reset it by doing the following:

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

If it's a different brand, you can search how to do it or post what it is and one of us can search.
 
I was just (very politely and pleasantly) informed that they decided to rent the apartment to someone else. I wasn’t optimistic. It turned out that were lots of applicants. They were showing place and giving out applications all day last Saturday. I though being first would help but they had a set procedure.

Does this go against substitution Eire belief that one needs to do something different?

Thus looking into the sealed pool is inappropriate vision? Perhaps a Leer into deep spatial stuff ... one needs the half cup mode ...

Must feel so disappointing Kimmio. The competition for rental space seems like it's at an all time high - is that your sense of it?
 
Was reading an article from our Simcoe County Alliance to End Homelessness. The homeless shelter intake almost doubled last winter. Another indication of low vacancy rate/high rental rates here.
 
I was complaining about the rent prices a few months ago. They’re hundreds of dollars higher right now. High season. And lots of short sublets, too. There are no regulations on what a landlord can charge. So when a few go up, they all go up. Then, when a few go down, they all go down. Yet, there might be two very similar buildings in two similar areas, or the same area, one costs $100-200 more than the other.

And I think the landlords renting suites that don’t include utilities and wifi, for the same price as comparable suites that include them, are likely jerkish landlords to be wary of. It means they want to offer the bare minimum for the most money they can squeeze. Knowing most people renting small spaces long term, are not well off to begin with, knowing people are desperate to find places now.

There are lots of “wanted” ads of people seeking the same thing I am. But some are couples, single parents. Pet owners have it the hardest because barely any places accept pets. And single parents, if the place strictly states “for one person only”.
