@Nancy sweetest blessings for your Mom's new journey. Thanks be to Godde for the life of a good and faithful servant.
Saw the just past Harvest Moon last night. What a blessing! So orange, so large, so totally harvest-y.
Good morning! Friday will dawn in about an hour or so.
We hold Nancy and her family in our thoughts today, as her mother passed away yesterday. May you find comfort in your memories of her. Our thoughts are with you.
We gather round the Coffee Cart thus Friday morning, for conversation, camaraderie and mutual moral support, over tea and coffee, and the productions of the Wonderbaker. This morning we have kaffeecake to enjoy. The cake is warm from the oven, the tea water is boiling, and coffee is freshbrewed. All is ready, everybody is welcome! Come join in!

The staff aren't usually the concern. It's the ownership. PSWs are generally a great bunch and the staff aren't usually any happier with the owners than anyone else. My employer does partnerships with LTC to provide oxygen and other respiratory care in homes and there's some big corporate groups we won't do business with on principle. And some we are happy to. We provide patient-centered care and expect our partners to as well but that's simply not how some of the big LTC chains operate. All of the PSWs who worked with mom came to hold her hand, talk to her, and tell us wonderful stories about their time with her. They were unfailingly kind and respectful of mom’s health and dignity. What a beautiful calling they have.
The Wonderbaker isn't a "she." You've been informed of this before. Why's the Wonderbaker always serve everything warm from the oven. Does she not know the joys of ice cream cake, or cookies from the freezer?
My only experience with PSW's was in retirement homes. But they were a caring, hard-working bunch.Thank you for your kind words and thoughts. Nursing homes are sometimes not spoken well of. All of the PSWs who worked with mom came to hold her hand, talk to her, and tell us wonderful stories about their time with her. They were unfailingly kind and respectful of mom’s health and dignity. I've worked in those environments and can attest to that....
