Glad you're feeling better @BetteTheRed .

No new years plans here. Just quiet times.

Assisting a friend starting her cancer journey by attending an appointment with her on Dec 31st, then will tuck into a good book, I think. Still tired - seems this 4-6 week recovery from surgery is a real number. Every so often I get really pushed back.

Our last Christmas gathering is sat Jan 3

Good Tuesday Monday morning! Looks like a blowy day and snowy day today. If you need to go out, be safe.
Glad to hear some who were under the weather over Christmas seem to feel better. Hoping that the trend toward 'better' continues. Do take care,
We can gather round the Coffee Cart and chat about whatever comes to mind, over coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and cinnamon buns fresh from the Wonderbakery. The tea water is hot, coffee freshbrewed, and buns fresh, soft and warm. All is ready; all are welcome. Come in and join the fun!

@Redbaron did you time travel

I had to double check my phone but today is Monday

Headed to a hockey tournament today.

For us, the question in this kind of weather is -- can we navigate our hill?!? Right now it is slush with ice underneath

Good morning. No snow here. And it’s not rainy or windy (at least not yet I haven’t checked the forecast).

My hands seemed to have broken out in eczema from holiday stress. It just seems to pop up as an after effect. A few pimples on my face too and I’m way too old lol. Stress shows on my skin. Maybe tmi. It’s just an annoyance.

My skin is an utter mess at times. Lichen planus, flare-ups of something hive-like, dry itchy patches on my legs (and that's avoiding the TMI stuff). At least I haven't had to have any more sebaceous cysts removed. Benign but a PITA to deal with. Oh, seborrheic dermatitis, aka dandruff, on the back of my scalp.

Been coaching in rai yesterday and driving snow today. My face is being pummeled like one of those maga influencer turned boxer dudes.

Definitely not weather where I would want to be in the great outdoors. Blowing and drifting snow here with wind and squall warnings in effect.

Popping in for hot chocolate and a cinnamon bun.
Back from doing a wee bit of shopping. Hound what we wanted and only went to two stores. Found my offering for a family Chinese gift exchange in the first store. The second one had the fitted sheet I need for the hospital bed I was supplied with, plus some pj's and knickers.
It is grey again today. We are both feeling sunshine deprived and trying to remain cheerful!

Snowboard cross head coach put his board on in front of me, fell down and grabbed his leg in extreme pain today. We have hardly even gone over any jumps and we've lost another coach.

I am sometimes surprised at the trivial ways I injure myself. I once messed up my back putting my pants on (to be fair, I think I had already injured it a little putting the trash out, but still)

Good Tuesday morning! Snow and wind here yesterday and today. not that I care for it much, but starting to look like a proper winter round here. As the injured coach count rises, and the skin conditions mount, maybe it's a good day to remember, 'tis only about 83 days or so till Spring.
We gather round the Coffee Cart once more for chat and support, and camaraderie. Tea, coffee, and hot chocolate help this along, as well as the Baker's talents. Today the Baker has provided fruit danishes of several varieties. The tea water is hot, coffee is freshbrewed, and danishes are fresh and nicely warm. All is ready, everyone welcome. Come join in the fun!

We have weather here today ... some are baffled by the whole concept that it exists in positive and negative versions ... no names mentioned. I'm told a politician here cannot figure why the price of gas is as it is ... unstable!

Did they ever ponder who controls that market ... 3 factors! Governed, belief in business extractions ... there is this tendency to return nothing ... leads towards a vast ah-gap-eh! Spooky ... as there is nothing to it! An expression gone by without note or underscore ... sacred (or a great scare). Religion needs some kind of fear of Noia attached ... may emerge as paranoia ... stuff you wish not to know ...

Weather sometimes comes in 4 square patterns like avasti superimposed on a Swastika ... allowing 4 points to emerge from a political sign (semi*tite). There are extracurricular domains ... a reminder of Cervantes impressions of mules among us ... butte winds?

One should know a bite of the classic mythology where knowledge is obscured because physical kings wished not to know of responsibility ... we were warned! In the dark is a spark for yah ... that inner flame? Flames without visible fire? Mystical ...

Can you imagine things that can way lay folk ... as they are passing through ...

Can one underscore that so as to anchor it in depth? Demon -ish ...

Are demo*nished thoughts wiped out ... something to nosh upon ... natural slippage!

Sometimes these items slip out the end of Penne ... thus pen said ... and a kind word may bring on an alien sense of dissonance (Eris 'n what?) ...

I was once told by an English Prof that "Eris" was not a likable word ... thus chigoes ... little bugs in the system!

Do chigoes cause an itch for a good rubbing? Salve a shun ... and move on ... He'll Have to Go!

Whose "he'll" and the spell cast by being adrift on a great water? Great grit ties ...

starting to look like a proper winter round here
I am not looking forward to this Winter if it keeps up like this. Horrible drive home last night, though things got better as i went westward. Drive in this morning was so-so at best. And I had the shovel out again. Probably up to a dozen times now before the end of December if you count getting the steel garden spade to clear ice on Boxing Day and the next day.

My home phone has only outbound calling right now and that's apparently been the case since last night (I only found out this morning when I tried to call home from the office). We use Teksavvy out of Chatham and have been with them for almost a year. For like a decade before that we had a cheap Chinese provider and never had an outage of this magnitude. We only switched because the call quality was getting really bad and I figured putting our phone on a Canadian provider who is also our Internet provider could only help with that. If I have to ditch them and switch again, I'm tempted to just port the number someplace cheap and put it on forward to one of our cell phones. I mostly give out my cell number anyhow. Just need to convince my wife to start leaving her cell on and doing the same.

We went to hockey tournament yesterday in snow squalls.

About 4" of snow yesterday

Today is still.

Husband just finished plowing parking area and driveway hill.

Seems to have quieted here a bit late in the day and was mostly just blowing when I went out at lunch, not much actual falling snow. Hoping for a nicer drive home tonight but we shall see.
