Did anyone see the news item where is said a slip of the pen regarding "v" and "y" may have changed the entire history of Beowulf in the Canterbury Tales?

Lettermen are like that ... they can run at any time ... they must be somehow aphelia ate 'd ... somehow bit! Initiated with the apple! An Aye thing ...

Good morning! Weather events around the world, re-arranged schedules for medical procedures, responsive staff members, and all the other thoughts and events that come up come with us as we meet for coffee and tea and conversation. May our chats be pleasant, our hearts be light, and our drinks be hot or warm as we like them. This morning we have assorted doughnuts to enjoy. The tea water is boiling, coffee is freshbrewed, and doughnuts warm and fresh. All things are ready, all are welcome, come in and enjoy the company!

Eventful chaos in reality ... is that virtue, or just dissonance if the thing is unbalanced about fruit, raisins and vegetation ... Seeler wrote about such frustrations ...

Sophistication develops whether planned or not ... its complicated to define ...

Good morning. I was able to get treatment yesterday, even with the tail end of a cold. I'm glad.

I finished a great book. If anyone is a Patti Callahan Henry fan, her new one is great.

dog-sitting a very smelly dog this weekend. I washed his harness, which helped a little. And I plan to give him a bath at some point. He's a giant German Shepherd, and I don't know how he responds to baths. Wish me luck. (He's also very loving and gentle.)

We used to wash our German shepherd in a tub in the yard. Big dog shaking himself- you want this to be outside….

I've washed cooperative and uncooperative german shepherds. I never got good enough at either to assume I was in a position to dispense advice. I always came out looking like a tornado victim.

The only way to bathe Lucy was on the back deck, leashed around my waist, with two buckets of water and the shampoo/skunk treatment. Very wet, very messy business. Not possible in the winter, obviously, but there are no skunks in the winter. I emerged from the process wet and plastered in dog hair.

My schnauzer would have her bath in the laundry sink. We took the German shepherd to a pet bath at a pet store. It worked really well. I brushed him lots and he looks pretty proud of himself. He does smell like dog still but less so.

Good morning! Happy Sunday! The joys, frustrations, and techniques of washing the dog, as well as parrots and hedgehogs, the development of sophistication, being recovered enough to get treatment, and finishing a book, along with all the other things that arise, accompany us to the Coffee Cart, where we discuss them over coffee, tea, and crumpets. Tea water is hot, the coffee is freshjbrewed, and crumpets pleasantly warmed and ready for toppings. All is ready, all are welcome. Come join in the conversations!

Our parrot gets cleaned by getting spritzs of water We've yet to attempt to clean our hedgehog
Now there's an interesting thought. How to clean a hedgehog. Something to ponder.

Good morning. Not a fan of crumpets, really. With a nice jam, though, might be okay.

I'm a huge fan of crumpets. In what is probably a minority opinion, double toasted with gobs of butter and a smear of Marmite.
Gobs of butter is probably what it would take to get me to eat them, though I might just lick the butter off. :p I had Marmite a couple times on my tour of the UK in 2019 and I can take or leave it. Don't hate it but certainly wouldn't go out of my way to find it, either.
