I'm very comfortable with the news. I'm not sure about travel. They have a blood test to see if I have the enzymes to process the drug. Up until a year or two it was hit or miss whether the drug was suitable. I knew I'd be getting a new treatment plan. Infusion chemo was on the table. The doctor chose this drug because it is less intrusive. I suppose travel depends on how I adjust to the drug. We'll plan to stay here for the summer and hopefully drive or fly to Ontario without the trailer. I'm quite relieved and hopeful. This will be my life. I will stay on a drug as long as it works then hopefully there's another treatment. Fortunately there seems to be quite a few treatments. I have metastatic breast cancer. I won't be cured. I can hope for no evidence of active disease like a friend who is on this drug. Breast cancer is not pink and fluffy.
Thanks for sharing.

Good morning! Happy Tuesday! As we gather in spirit round the Coffee Cart, we remember those going through medical situations, considering treatment options, or hospitalized far from home. For these and other persons and topics, we join in conversation and community, sharing virtual hot beverages and goodies. All is ready, come on in!

I am going to be tested for prion disease (often called Mystery Ailment) because they don't care for invective laughter ...

It is said to be critical to the silence abut doing nothing about the downtrodden ... like the conflict between Sam Arians and Judea ... in archaic Semitic linguistics Sam was like the final Bell in a diabolical blow ... left crossover? It is all in the twist of the mouth ... and the jaw bone is freed ... said to be a whipping device ... for lions ... or those lying in ... waiters?

Id'll come to yah ... given time as senility!

oooh, slept in this morning, and woke up going "dang, what time is it, i have a meeting this morning". Thankfully, it wasn't the call that i thought it was...and i can watch a recorded session. Still - argh.

I slept like the dead last night. I needed that. Today will be busy for different reasons from yesterday.

Glad you slept. I was attached to numerous tubes and cords and very sore from the surgery. Seems to be improving quite quickly though. No predictions about a release date yet.

hugs@curlykay. Today is a really really cold day here. But I am downstairs, near our wood stove, while husband is making supper! What could be better than that?

Take care and get yourself well.

Ape is in Cartagena, Columbia today. The old city is a lovely Spanish walled town with parts dating to the 16th century. The new city is Miami Beach on steroids. Weather was basically a hot July day in London terms, 32 and muggy, though there was a nice sea breeze off the Caribbean Sea that made things a bit more comfortable in some spots.

Good morning! Happy Wednesday! Today begins with another extreme cold warning in this area, so hope we can all stay warm and safe. Hopes for recovery from surgery, thoughts for considering future treatment courses, and inklings of other topics, important or less so; we bring them to the Coffee Cart in the Room. All is ready, all are welcome, come on and join in!

Is there something critically wrong with humanity regarding justice and its counterpart and how the endowed abuse it?

Is the a point where enough is enough even when observed from both sides of the divine abyss as it widens? Does it have anything to do with the skill of understanding subtlety in icons? This we can close our eyes to ... becoming unapologetic Christians as we believe we can do nothing wrong ... we are the greatest! Then there is the other ... as we attempt to downsize the growing dissatisfied populace as it rises in numbers ...

Quality? Who with the upper hand needs it? Heroes of war and destruction; near Gods differing with and in nature ... the consequence of making something from nothing ... a' mere point in a go round!

It looks like we got the forecasted snow overnight. I'm declaring a snow day for myself. (If it wasn't snow, I'd find another name) I have nowhere to go. The last two days were full and a book and knitting are calling my name. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

The book is "The Taster" by V.S Alexander. This is the third book I've read by this author and likely not my last. It is about a woman who became a food taster for Hitler.

I'm getting closer to wrapping up two long overdue business-related tasks and dnag does it feel good.
Financial reporting and CPE recording
Papers have been sorted, documents are put together, software is almost up-to-date.
A few more transactions to do in the one, and I can ship it off with an "I'm sorry it is such a mess, please fix"
For the CPE I have enough recorded, but, it is subject to audit, so to be safe, I like to put in extra credits in case someone says, well, i don't agree with your points, or that doesn't qualify. Unlikely, but, I'm not a risk taker on these kinds of things!

I have a business acquaintance from 10 years ago that i always enjoyed bumping into. He's a delight with a quirky sense of humour.
He has moved on to a different company but reached out to me in the blue, to see if I would review a presentation.
Looking forward to seeing what he is up to, but, also have a good laugh in the process.

Woke up today to some huge centipede crawling across my kitchen floor....it's pretty wide and long (huge actually), I've never seen one before. It was too juicy looking to squish...now what? I threw a class bowl over it on the floor and it's been sitting there for about 4 hours. Trying to figure out if I should flush it down the toilet, throw it outside in this freezing weather or just let it die from lack of oxygen. I don't want to keep it, lol.

where did it come from is the question. could there be more.
Centipedes eat other insects, such as silverfish or spiders. Maybe it has been doing a good job?
