I learned that a friend's 46 year old daughter has a more serious breast cancer than first expected. Now she's waiting to see what comes next. I said I'd like to knit her a hat. After we talked, mom said daughter would love and wear a cap that says "f*** cancer". I am happily starting to knit it now. The words are in script which will be fun. The yarn for the words has sparkle. :)

Good morning, all! AS we deal with family and personal health and healing issues, and sad news of passing of those whom we know, let us also remember the 8th anniversary this week of WC2, give thanks for its existence, and to the comfort, support, discussion and fin it still brings. Let us raise cups and mugs in salute. All is ready.

Do we 8th it for its moors or mores? Mores being better if broad spread than the upright ET ... a mire figment of the denied myth of psyche immaterial! Drifting thoughts ... some deny thought and thus don't know ... some of us grasp a chit ... which is a small bit! May resemble a dark pearl ... I don't know ... I haven't gone that far yet ... discouraged by great authority and thus I recede ... in relief? Pressed freedom ...

Sunny but a bit cool and windy down here in SW Ontario. I'll take that over hot and muggy, though. Better for walking and biking. And mowing lawns.

Good morning. They are promising a hot day here in Saskatchewan today. We don't have a lot planned so can take it easy.

With less planned do we avoid plots, schemes and conspiracies so as to reinforce incidence of spontaneity ... or pops up!

Life works its way to dense and dull ... a hard spot where precipitation crystalizes slowly! Thus elongated periods of patience for the thing to become ... from what was being prior! The ante room? Ante up for life is a crap shoot ... given some weight to the the secessionist theory ... expect many folk feeling left out! This may have certain bias for those that hate the losers they've created thro' nepotism ... welcome brothers and cistern of hate ... expect stir!

The winners need counters ... to support numerous denomination ... like S=Q/T rendered to squat when we learn nothing in the pas ...its*was ... as SET ... the queue being disposed ... as it goes round ... and few see the horiz ont AL as wend!

Good morning! We celebrate anniversaries and beach weddings this weekend! We gather in spirit round the coffee cart, to chat, discuss, offer and receive support, or just for good company. C'mon in and share a heapin' helpin of our hospitality.

A riding buddy's wife was lost very quickly to cancer last fall. Another close relative of our best friend, who is also a mother of young kids, was rushed to hospital two weeks ago with what was discovered to be intestinal cancer. It seems to have been diagnosed early in stage 2, but there is a long road ahead.

The randomness of the disease hits hard. Words generally fail, as they often do, but "f*** cancer" is a nice start.

Also, if we have a blacklist for the word "f***", is there a way to whitelist "f*** cancer", because that should be valid.

My husband's cancer story is just beginning but I think I'd like to throw a few expletives at it. This past week, our city's only urologist recommended a surgery that has only 50 percent success rate and does nothing to stop or slow the cancer, but will take 4 weeks of summer out of my husband's life to recuperate from it. He knows he has a time limit in this world, and has been looking forward to a summer with family and friends. To take four weeks of it just seems cruel. To the urologist's chagrin, he has declined the surgery.

Cancer f***ing sucks. I do know people who have lived long good lives after a cancer diagnosis. I'm glad to know them. One is the step-parent of the 46 year old and someone who helped me in different ways.

The hat I'm knitting says f*** Cancer on it. It is fun to knit something for someone I know will appreciate and wear it.

I've been knitting hats for friends or family of friends who have been diagnosed with cancer in the last while. I've knit too many hats.

I hate it. It has taken too many of my friends too early. And I know there are treatments, and that things go unexpectedly well, and I wish all positivity for all those who are diagnosed. And life goes on, well, and life is lived well, and often, very long.

But I f***ing hate f***ing cancer.

I don’t like that in Canada, getting a second opinion for a medical issue is so difficult to get and often depends on the person having the first opinion to refer to someone else. Some physician’s ego can stand in the way of that. So far, I always have been lucky with getting them to do that- but then, I am also in the medical business myself and I am usually persistent at asking. It should be a patient’s right to see a specialist and/ or get a second opinion.

Thus the legalese folk are only allowed to screw around with ancient concepts and myths that common folk can think different than those on an addicted high point ... legalese is Big Business ... even in church that should be more understanding, compassionate ... but the word is easily altered in denial by those levels ... consider Mystic cynics rendered to false mysticism ... unbelievable BS! Word is like that friable ... said to be defined as easily crumpled! Breaks me up about how the unknowing can declare such competence ... when it isn't so! Maybe diabolical or enigmatic at least to initiate processes of alien nature ... unknown processes? Is that abstract ... kind 've out there ?

Earthy value ... or filthy rich? Then there is the alter essence ...

Good morning! We gather round the coffee table, especially mindful of those who are dealing with cancer, diagnoses, treatments, etc. Let us continue to offer support as we share in hot beverages. All is ready, help yourself.

Good morning. Today will be a quieter day. We really enjoyed visiting an Indigenous museum/facility yesterday. We learned more about the bison on the prairies and the importance of bringing them back. We walked around and didn't quite get carried away by mosquitos. We saw the site of the buffalo jump. It was an enjoyable day.

Today will be spent resting my sore foot and knitting my hat. @KayTheCurler and her husband will be stopping by this afternoon for a visit.

We got caught behind a herd in Wyoming when we were visiting Grand Teton and Yellowstone several years back. Oh wow, what a sight and experience. And then you realize that if you go back to pre-colonial and early colonial times, the herds were several times bigger again and wow, did this continent ever lose something with their near extinction.
