I’m thinking the same way. Minimize visits. Outside is sometimes feasible in Victoria but it’s currently pouring rain. I will send gift cards to each of the four grandkids. I recall last year my son brought over some food from their dinner, the next day,Wait and see. Lately I feel like short term planning is the way to go, with very tentative long term rough plans.
I hope to spend some time at Christmas at my sister's place. I'm very aware it may just be outside, or may not happen at all.
I‘m not sure when I can get the booster in BC. My sister had it already because she has to take immun-suppressing drugs for her rheumatoid arthritis. I’m 70 now, as of September.
I‘m keeping a lookout for it.You should be able to get yours six months after your second dose. I received a text notice to get mine. I'm in the clinically vulnerable group so got mine a month ago
Rumour had it that the religious community had been the Mennonites- looks like the rumour were wrong, it were the Baptists - and this one is not regretting anything.
I another article, a worker from the group home was saying that he had reported that there had been no masks and no proof of vaccinations but the police stayed out of it.This is presently Nova Scotias biggest outbreak- the attenders came from all over NS, spreading it back home.
Such irresponsible behaviour. On the news last night there was a brief clip - the pastor he'd done nothing wrong at all - just did what God wanted him to do & he had no regrets. People die - oh well. God's will I suppose (note this last bit is sarcasm on my part). Said he was fined $2,400. Far too little in my view.Rumour had it that the religious community had been the Mennonites- looks like the rumour were wrong, it were the Baptists - and this one is not regretting anything.

Wonder if families who lost loved ones will sue the church at a later date. The confession is on tape.Such irresponsible behaviour. We are also much bigger population-wise. 14 million to their 9 million. Per capita is the measure to use and even without calculating it, one can see that they are significantly worse than us.We were over 700 in Ontario yesterday
Very true. But our numbers are rising here.We are also much bigger population-wise. 14 million to their 9 million. Per capita is the measure to use and even without calculating it, one can see that they are significantly worse than us.

Huh I had no clue what Austria's population was but wouldn't have guessed it to be so small. We are also much bigger population-wise. 14 million to their 9 million. Per capita is the measure to use and even without calculating it, one can see that they are significantly worse than us.
Yeah, I imagine if you took the entire GTA from Hamilton to Oshawa and North to the northern edge of Vaughan, it would be around that. That's the thing with Europe, though. Most countries are fairly small compared to Canadian provinces and US states, so there are some fairly significant countries that have small-ish populations relative to here. Finland is only 5.5 million, for instance.Huh I had no clue what Austria's population was but wouldn't have guessed it to be so small.
But- compare the size of the country, it’s quite populated. Austria is 5% larger than Maine, but Main has only 1.3 million residents.Yeah, I imagine if you took the entire GTA from Hamilton to Oshawa and North to the northern edge of Vaughan, it would be around that. Alberta is 85% larger than Germany, but Germany has a population of 84 mio, while Alberta has 4.4 mio.
In general though I think of Europe as being densely populated, most of ON certainly isn't - Canada in general has a pretty low population density.But- compare the size of the country, it’s quite populated. Austria is 5% larger than Maine, but Main has only 1.3 million residents.
