Hey, and even I wear a pair of gloves if I intentionally go out to do some garbage picking, on Earth Day, or through some other clean-up drive. I often pick up bits of litter (I admit to avoiding picking up masks), and also weed the park that we walk through of garlic mustard bare-handed though, and make sure I wash my hands as soon I as come in, which I always did anyway, because I've been in too-close contact to canine feces.

In my employment, though, I'm supposed to be thinking at least equally of customer care as of my own self-care, so it's a balance. I tip slightly in favour of the customer. If I wasn't so damned clumsy, I might balance closer to the middle, especially given the condition of my poor hands right now. I've had to start using rubber gloves to wash dishes, even with Ivory; I'm one glass and one tea cup down...

Yeah, those rubber gloves do get slippery sometimes. I wear then washing dishes because of the heat. All I can say is, good thing Corelleware is dang near unbreakable....

And handmade pottery dishes coupled with tiled floor and countertop is an accident waiting to happen. So I protect my hands only in order to risk my feet on sharp pottery shards, LOL. *sigh* This pandemic has propelled me into whining mode. Bad as my damned hound.

One positive side effect of this whole mess is a greater focus on indoor air quality and the risk of airborne disease transmission in indoor spaces. London Transit, for instance, is looking into spending some of its COVID relief funds on air purification systems for the busses that are supposed to be effective against a range of viruses including SARS-COV-2, the COVID virus.

So masks go from mandatory to recommended in BC on Thursday. Seems a bit soon to me. I don't think even stage 3 in Ontario goes that far (presumably, that comes in some new stage not yet announced to come 3 weeks after Stage 3, which currently should kick in on July 21, 3 weeks after Stage 2, which kicks in tomorrow).

Google offices opening up in California.

Without proof of vaccination, you need a _weekly_ covid test and you need to wear a mask when indoors.

BC does have good vaccination rates in most of the province and the covid numbers are declining quickly. We've had hair salons and such open for the past year which is different from Ontario. Here's hoping it works

In BC is masking totally dropped?
Here it will still be needed for public transit, taxis, ubers, ahs healthcare facilities.
I still don't know all the details, which is frustrating. I don't know why they do not have information posted online yet. Ie Most clinics aren't AHS, dynalife labs, etc. I wish they would just announce all healthcare is included.

BC has just stopped mandating masks. They are strongly recommending people wear them, especially if they have not been fully vaccinated. They are also supporting businesses who still want customers/patrons to wear masks

Early on in this pandemic our church installed 'photo catalytic oxidation purifiers' to the furnaces. Sure hope they work, should we gather for in-person worship.

The other day, health officials projected massive Delta outbreaks this Fall in the 6 states with 35% vaccination rates, despite the Pfizer vaccine's availability since early January. Even our local senior center has been full of diners and card players since early April. The incredible regional differences in vaccine rates helps me understand why none of my regular acquaintances have received the vaccine. For some reason, people with conservative political views seem far less likely to get the vaccine.

Particularly disturbing is the case of 2 brothers I know who both got Covid, apparently from Wal-mart, the only place they leave home for. They live together and both have only 20% heart function, and one also has diabetes. One of the them was told by his cardiologist that Covid would be a death sentence if he ever got it. I'm upset that their family members neither got the vaccination nor encouraged these brothers to get it. Fortunately, both seem to be doing quite well, under the circumstances, perhaps a result of fervent regular prayer from our weekly prayer group. One brother was given just a few months to live about 5 years ago!

btw, Temperatures here have been over 100 F all week, reaching 110 and 112 on 2 days. I still see the odd shopper wearing her mask in the supermarket.

We are still wearing masks indoors. Very little Covid around apparently - no new cases locally for quite some time. Vaccinations are ongoing. Unfortunately, one of my daughters has declined to avail herself of the opportunity.

London's number have been back in double digits for a couple days. Now I know why. Bunch of chuckleheads held unmasked, undistanced indoor events at a church in violation of Stage 1 rules. Someone(s) there was symptomatic. Do the math.

Chemguy went out to a few places today, happy to hear from him very few were without them.

The masking/not masking is all over the place it seems. Costco recently introduced same day delivery with groceries (using instacart, but going through their own site). There was a coupon so we decided sure, as we've avoided going into Costco. They request you wear a mask when picking up at the door. The delivery person was practically in their vehicle, way more than 2 m away when Chemguy opened the door. The mask request was complied with, but seems a bit silly.

All makes sense in the ideal of confrontation and conflict resolution to a small space in a circus to duplicate Roman des Ire ... pure insanity and few recognize it for what it is ... creating opposing insanities that may appear as opposite charges!

Damn ... the ada-M goes on ... sometimes broken up as a particle of light attributes ... too small to see the details however! Thus subatomic characteristics are a matter of La-la Land or an abstract thereof (see Wu Li Masters as a hairy story of wee things that may be composite of the others).

It is something to get through as an extension of learning as opposed by brute forces ... thus some will say that the primal Ide passes too ... an initiation to massive naivete?

It may simulate a large dip in the plane of space according to Einstein ... Dipesh?
