Novel Coronavirus

With incidents rate of over 200 daily new infection per 100 000 residents in some areas of Germany and the threat of the new variation of Covid being even more contagious, Germany has made even stricter rules until at least the end of January, hoping to get the rate of infections back to 50/ 100000. Schools and businesses staying closed, parents are getting 10 additional “ child sickness days” each, in the 200 incidents hotspots people are to stay within a 15 km radius. That is in part a result of a crazy rush on the weekend into the little towns in Germanys snow / ski areas for sledding- the lifts were already closed. The town of Winterberg locked down after the first run, unable to cope with the traffic and the crowds on their ski hills.
People are now only to stay in their household bubble plus one person ( down from one other household). It all sounds like they are really scared of the population not following the rules and infections steadily increasing. The hospitals are already overwhelmed, partially because of sick or isolating missing staff.

Two weeks to flatten the curve!
Keep on believing!

Call your government!
Tell them you want to be locked up permanently or until there is no more virus in the world!

Happy death sentence!

China has a food shortage. How is that possible?

The LLeft are babies.

The news from the UK is daunting - especially for those who have loved ones living there. BBC says on average one person in 50 has Covid. Less in some places, more in others. My niece's closest hospital is over run - patients being treated in ambulances outside or sent to seek a bed elsewhere. Some of my relatives are still working - some in health care settings. Some are hunkering down at home as much as they can. Do we know yet whether you can catch this virus twice or more?

Yes, this is a missing part of our equation. We think we can just manufacture 'extra' staff from the woodwork.

Even if your theoretical number of ICU beds are not quite at capacity, if your hospital-wide staff is down some %age because of COVID infection, where do you get enough staff to keep up to 'normal' levels? All these beds require large numbers of highly trained staff, and they're not just hanging out waiting to be called on.

Oh brother. If you handed out cartons of cigarettes to old folks homes, you’d kill far more than this virus does. In the 70’s those people would have already been dead, b cause they were all smoking.

you are babies! If people want to save their live’s work-you should not be the one telling them they cannot. The LLeft is the brain damaged.

If you are afraid and have the means to do so... Bunker Up!

But don’t force your death sentence on the rest of the world. Just because there seems to be a magic source of food down the street that always has food, does not mean that that continues when everybody sits and eats. Food needs workers.

It’s like how you guys think green energy works in Canada. Shut off fossil fuels and the green stuff will save the day. Brain damage.

At first glance the man in the rush crossed the line before walking it a bit to see both sides of the myth ... then if you believe the myths superficial ... explains fascist! There are layers it seems when the thee spheres coincide ... oh balls! Zilch ... no ting atoll ...

Are we learning anything ... or are both sides set in fixed position and only the inside function is busy?

Tis a paradox eh boies ... creating Adis sembling question ... what's a Bo? But frightening icon ... sign of a word flying like burning Bo ish ... emanation? Some dousing required ...

I think Quebec's curfew is a bad idea, although details have been minimal. I think grocery stores being open 24 hours is much safer rather than less then 12 (8 am - 7:30 pm is one of the few details I could find). Means more people packed in. Chemguy sometimes has to go into work, he has done it in the evenings where he doesn't see anyone - safer than them all having to get what needs to be done before a certain time. I don't understand what they are trying to achieve with a curfew other than indicating the situation is serious - I think other laws can achieve that in a much safer manner.

I'm about to watch something interesting roll out in my grocery store. On-line shopping is coming to the world's smallest grocery store. We will see what this looks like. If I get to pick someone's avocadoes, I'm in...

The only thing about the curfew I could see was, *shades of rita*, an element of easier control. It's easier to police "you're not allowed to be out" than "why are you out?".

I am not what a curfew even accomplishes if you've already shut down the places people are likely to be going (bars, clubs, restaurants). People will just gather in the daytime, won't they.

I feel like it even increases the risk of just going for a walk, as I did see a quote about if one wants to go for a walk, they can do so during the day (although no confirmation the curfew covers things like that).

Lockdowns were never about a virus or a pandemic.

Lockdown Civilization has been in the planning and development stage for a long time.

People say, “Why? Why are they doing this?”

The short answer is, because they want to and they can.

Technocrats don’t view life as life ... they view it as a system ... a system with curfews.

Like Mendalla - I'm unclear about the effectiveness of a curfew in this situation. I think Quebec also shut down construction & additional places of work in addition to curfew. We just heard today that schools in some areas of Ontario will continue to be on-line learning only until the end of the month. Sigh.

I would say to remove the curfew altogether and just look into what risky things could be shut down or at least made safer. ie. Maybe requiring shifts for some workplaces to limit the numbers in an area at a time (and those don't necessarily have to be 8 hours).

Curfews and confinements are for insane people! Has you looked around at society lately ... is it sane with all the folks stoned on power of knowing the answers?

How many really know the eternal (ultimate) answer? Did you count on the people that say they did ... without inquiry?

When you don't know ... there's one way ... and if you know a wee bit ... you have to dig your way out ... an enigma (parallel to a paradox). Some traditions call this a metaphor! It is like you have a close friend that processes information ... and stays out of sight. There's a word for that too ... ammett ... but it too evolved from a myth laid out on a ma'at! In a puddle ...

What's going on with Ontario? It seems like the added restrictions that were added in a while ago haven't done much. Here it took a while delay was expected but then I guess there was probably more than what I had expected by not factoring in the new cases do tend to spread within a household. Our restrictions have bern extended but I worry as school is resuming without extension. I think that shapes behaviour a fair bit. "My kids are in a class with 25+ other kids so me doing blank isn't any riskier". I hope not but the numbers will show what happens.

Well they shut Ontario down on Boxing Day. So any changes should be starting to take effect coming up. I expect we are still seeing all the people who gathered and spread disease over Christmas. My little neck of the woods is doing well. Many fewer people around this week than last as the Toronto folks have left mostly. Our neighbors rent out their house, those folks are still here. One school age kid not going to school, so I guess they like the quiet and the opportunity to hike.

Human flaws may be expected to eliminate their very cognizance of Pandemic Illness as a hoax ... it just isn't to be ...

Even the book says ... M'N must Dais ... thus Deism! Queer BS?

Done to amuse the outriders and alien! Beyond inner comprehension ... that there could be something out-there ... Moor? Flat out vertigo?

Leaves one a bit green ... maybe a lot green considering the unknown factor!

If your out look into it ... if your in look out ... someone will be looking to gain your bureau ... officiously!

Some offices are needlessly coveted ...
