Likely? We have had a pretty low mortality rate.
Yes Ontario and Quebec have had far more deaths than Alberta's 760 since March for sure.....I just don't know how other provinces death rates compare to the more familiar flu death rates compared to Covid....still more than likely higher.
I'm glad it's being stressed that young people need to be aware that they are vulnerable also.

I did a really quick search, Ontario and Quebec don't seem to participate in the weekly flu watch info. Canada averages 9-13 deaths/100000 each year.

Looks like Quebec had a huge mortality rate early with COVID, 62/100000.

Should we place bets on my MRI in Feb? On/off? *sigh*
I just saw in the local paper that the field hospital at Western Fair is still there (set up during first wave) and can be reactivated. I know LHSC is struggling given the number of outbreaks in its hospitals. A new one started in Victoria Hospital just as one of the outbreaks at University ended.

My father and a few other older people are in London. So far they've been okay. Still it's a concern.

Ivermectin.

Secrets the pharmaceutical companies don’t want you to know.
Ivermectin has not been peer reviewed, not to say it's been ruled out.

Haha, the Trump believer crowd will soon be parasite free.

shouldnt wait for someone else to tell us like we're the kids and theyre the parents.....we should tell ourselves to stay home!!!
Yes, and after all these months, that is hard. My compromise is to meet junior and girlfriend this weekend and my best friend today and avoid them for the holidays and the week after, because they will meet others who will have met others- and the circle just feels too big for me.
A physician who held a little speech this week reminding staff , said- you are most contagious the day before you have symptoms. So anyone here could have Covid. Keep in mind, how many people you would have to inform tomorrow if you fell sick, who you put at risk. 15 minutes is the “ magic number”, 15 minutes exposed to someone- but that as accumulated time- like three times five minutes in a day with masks off- for someone to get infected. So, who are we exposing in this time? Keep the circle small.

My circle is totally small. I am driving to my sister's house. She lives with a guy who will be long gone to visit his parents in Ottawa. He's not very careful, but he's out of the picture. Sister and I have had contact since this started, although careful. Her kitchen is large and open and we'll prep dinner there together, supervised by the cats. I've been teasing her that if the weather report goes south, I've got the best part of dinner here...

Imagine ... listening to ourselves ... in all the indeterminate nature of the self ... a Pan'd situation develops ...

Could lead to: "we are our own worst selves"! and so on and etc.

Netherlands has shut down all airtravel from England and Germany is thinking about it because of the new Corona mutation that is supposedly 70 times more contagious than the first version. Thats scary. The first version was already more contagious than the flu.
