If governments didn't implement protocol many more would be dead - and it's precisely because it's those who can't stay insulated like you can, who are put at higher risk, that makes you selfish on the matter while you sit back and think you know what's going on.
If you want to insist that I am responsible for all the deaths in the world because I understand that complying with virtue signaling is the wrong thing to do ... what more can I say. We will see how it turns out ... history shows what complicit following of orders leads to.

I added "you plural" referring to the propagation of the antimask message.

Tonight I am supposed to go out for a family birthday dinner at a downtown restaurant. Two out of 4 of us (maybe 3/4 I'm not sure) - including the birthday person - still think the protocols and risk of virus are overblown. A downtown Milestone's employee tested positive the other day and is self isolating, as are other staff who were in close contact with them. They're not closing the restaurant. They did close it briefly for cleaning. I am supposed to go to a different, similar type of restaurant that is in the area. One thing I know about this town is that downtown hospitality staff - hospitality and restaurant and bar staff in general - are a tight community. I don't want to go but if I don't I will insult my family. I just found this out at the neighbourhood store - grocery clerk told me to be careful. Yesterday I asked if we will be seated on the heated patio - they just said they have reservations but don't know where we're sitting yet.

Wearing a mask isn’t that bad. What’s being asked of you is not that bad. You are being selfish, not seeing beyond how it impacts you.

'You' can wear a 'virtual placebo' as you will ... there is no evidence to 'prove' that it gives 'You' the moral highground

Such a big dilemma ... to dine alone or not to dine alone ... that is the question?

Kim is most restaurants are operating at half capacity so the tables are well spaced out

here they ask you to wear a mask unless you are eating so I think you could do that. Take your little purse Size bottle of sanitizer and use it frequently. I might also take a package of wipes if you Have a small one. Then you could wipe the arms of the chair, the edge of the table it you feel nervous

I don’t think anyone is wearing masks in sit-down restaurants except maybe staff. I’ll be the only one at our table, for sure. One family member already thought I overreacted wearing my mask in public when we met outside for lunch once. I wore it indoors to order our sandwiches to go and we went to an open courtyard to eat.

I’m thinking of cancelling. I’m feeling hormonally bloated and cranky anyway and I might start an argument. I’m in a listen to no bulls**t mood and if it gets into politics that will not be fun. I can buy them lunch for their birthday later in the week.

So you just need a good excuse. diarrhea Always works. No one wants to be near someone With diarrhea. The “I ate something funny yesterday and feel.......“
That's a real possibility in my peri hormonal situation today anyway. And I took a magnesium salts bath soak. Magnesium helps muscles but can have that effect.

Rita, all I know is that my oldest child lives in Australia, in the Melbourne area. This is a guy who is, by nature, quite libertarian, almost anarchist, I'd say, although hugely gentle. He's okay with the measures in his country. Better to measure the temperature of initiatives in your own neighbourhood, by your own cultural criteria, I think.

The majority in Australia want it that way until the virus is gone.
This is ahead of Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews’ pledge to end Stage Four lockdown on September 13 – but he has repeatedly warned that could be extended at any time.

Melburnians threaten a revolution to resemble Eureka Stockade.

Melburnians vow to take to the streets to protest ANY Stage Four lockdown extension.
  • Tens of thousands of Melburnians are planning to protest further lockdown
  • Angry Melburnians are being singled out by organisers using social media
  • The exact location of the protest remains a secret in an effort to confuse police
  • More than 11,000 people have already expressed interest in the protest
  • Another 6500 have indicated they will attend the protest in Melbourne
