When I tallied up all Bc's cases across the province; minus the ones who recovered and the ones who died - it looks like we only have 12 active cases in BC, and they're all hospitalized. Only 4 out of the 12 are in critical care. Still zero new cases, and zero active cases, and zero deaths for weeks, on Vancouver Island.

Not blaming you for this, I feel like the BC data is harder to sort out the active cases, but 12 sounds off - 15 recent COVID-19 cases in B.C. linked to 30-person family gathering - Abbotsford News
Also looking at their dashboard, total cases - recovered - deaths = more unaccounted for.

BC does overall look pretty good though. I'm concerned about the numbers in Edmonton - we were in the 40s-50s for active cases for quite a while, it jumped to over 100 a few days ago, don't remember the specific date especially as I catch some of the updates live and watch some a day late, it's been discussed though. Today it's 130.

How many readers are going to church, or expect to soon? For me, it seems they won’t have everyone at one service, to reduce crowding.

When Covid first appeared I wasn’t too worried. But as time went on and more information came out I’ve become a lot more worried.

Aside from taking packages from delivery men I have had no physical contact with the outside world since it started. Correction, my son have been over a few times but that’s it. I’m retired and pushing 70 so I‘m high risk, just on age alone. I could stand to lose some weight.

The article on Sweden shows they’ve had significantly more cases and deaths. You really notice it looking at the charts.

I‘m not sure why BC has fewer cases than Alberta. It could be related to less testing.

I started a thread on this in Worship yesterday since churches are being allowed to at least somewhat restart in Ontario and other provinces. Haven't really been going to church a lot of late myself so probably won't start until Fall and assuming this area is relatively "clean".

My office go-back is after Canada Day. They expect everyone back by July 6th (the Monday after the holiday). Though I imagine a lot will be taking vac to take advantage of the mid-week holiday.

As I keep saying - look at Vancouver Island. It's practically a retirement mecca. If there were so many unaccounted for cases, there would be more deaths and hospitalizations that would end up being accounted for. If there were lots of mild cases running around at large we'd be seeing more serious ones too - they would get accounted for - and if lots of people were suddenly getting sick and showing up in hospital or dying at home they'd be looking for covid infection.. And if they're not more serious cases and vulnerable people are not getting more serious cases - then there's not a lot to worry about.

I can't open the Abbotsford News link. It's just being really slow.

Maybe those cases have recovered. Abbotsford is in the Fraser Valley region that was one of the more problematic regions for awhile. Meanwhile, Vancouver Island has been nearly in the clear - we were waiting on one recovery for a couple of weeks - no cases, no deaths in weeks.

In NYC a hospital EMT shouting out of an ambulance window/ on speaker, supporting BLM protestors.

Protestors are willing to risk their lives to stand up, because of so many who've died from systemic racism.
