Novel Coronavirus

I'm not sure what you're saying here? Are the doctors saying that the Covid vaccine could have caused this?
I know guilliame barre was one time thought to have been brought on by some flu vaccines.
Bell's palsy was something that came up fairly early with the vaccines. The rate wasn't that much higher than what normally occurs. Often some type of immune system trigger does seem involved in it's cases, so it's possible the vaccine was that trigger.

Bell's Palsy can happen anytime. If it lasted 9 months for me, I would get another medical opinion.
Getting a 2nd opinion isn't easy to do when it comes to seeing a specialist.
And when it comes to neurological issues, medical help is pretty limited I find.

I still have symptoms from what happened after the flu shot in 2008. I still do not have a specific diagnosis. I do think the vaccine was the trigger, but I also realize it could be possible the flu would have done the same thing to me if I didn't have the vaccine.

I see....of course we also have to bare in mind that studies were rushed with minimal participants....so the effects if any, may show up with a larger population now involved. We are now all the case study in a way.

Yeah, seriously, it might clear up by the time you get to the specialist. I've had that happen before (not Bell's Palsy, but the condition clearing up before I saw the specialist).

In general I find the 2nd opinion advice odd. Are people really getting 2nd opinions from 2 specialists? If so how? The system rejected a request for a specialist for me because I already have one and that was supposed to be for separate things.

Sadly, that's how our system works. Our healthcare system is fundamentally based on scarcity, leading to things like no second opinions, waiting lists, people with no primary care, and so on. In the US, where money is more the basis, your insurance might not pay for a second opinion (but might also insist on it from what I've heard) but if you've got the money, you can still get one. Their problem is that people without money or good insurance get developing world levels of care while those with money or a good insurance plan actually get much better service than most Canadians do.

So Bell's palsy is one of the conditions that can be triggered by vaccines or viruses. Thanks for all the information that has been shared.

In the real world it is hard to imagine the things that can be triggered in the unknown ... and few will try and get evidence for fear of the great unknown when they denied there was such thing when being blessed as an authority in tyrannical style ... they refuse anything beyond that ... leading to suspicion that there is more to it than meets a singular one or ! in Romantic semantics!

If you do examine strange things the authorities will respond with I can't imagine you'd do that even though they deny the abstract ... which in circular fashion goes around in great gonads ... that's the head folks ... a good head is hard to find given the exposures to people declaring they are the best ... a corrupt impression if you associate with that type! One has to get rid of a lot of emotional baggage like that man with the Wahl a divisive field when dealing somewhere between the extremists ... and many folk would rather affiliate with the far other end ... stimulating a lot of jousting for the one walking softly with a stick or branch of the tree of wisdom to assist as a small crutch ... an unlikely legend about far out intelligence ...

Ever notice that intelligence is collective and stacked in devices often not read into? Too large a field considering some points of projection! These may pass right through many headstands ... un mot eve ations ... noting consumed ... of essence!

Edmonton wastewater data just dropped down to levels we haven't seen since Omicron showed up. Noise?
We did see a sudden drop after the 4th wave, followed by a bit of a shoulder. The 3rd was the same, although slightly less dramatic.

Hopefully this is a good sign, but with Calgary not matching I'm going to wait and see before I take it to mean cases have dropped. Who knows what else could be going on with the water in the spring. For those who want a more optimistic outlook, Fort Sask & area also shows the same trend.

*sigh* Some type of mistake with the data. Both of those were changed. Not a new peak or anything, but refreshing removed the sudden drop off that was there.

Little M says it's hitting his crowd pretty hard this wave. Two high school friends and his last roommate before he moved in with his partner. He and his partner are still okay, though the former roommate was actually at their place not long before he got sick so they've been testing to make sure.

Relatives are coming to visit this summer. They keep sharing what they want to do now. Lots of indoor things. Not really sure what the situation will be then and what I will be comfortable with. They seem to have no concept that not all of us are rushing to be inside crowded malls unmasked. Also only some of them are vaccinated and I assume no booster. Found out one has covid currently and it sounds like others had it right before. So that at least lowers the risk from being around them, especially in homes.

Lots and lots of covid in our extended family members right now.

Multiple families impacted in various cities. They don't see each other, ie didn't catch it from same location.

Just speaks to how much is out there right now.

I was at Costco and Ikea yesterday. Almost everybody was wearing a mask. Not what I expected for Halifax, very encouraging.
I was at the local mall to see my optometrist. The optometry practice still requires masks, but out in the mall it was a real mixed bag. Maybe 50-60%?

Note: also hearing of so many acquaintances, church staff (ministers, techs) being impacted. General population.

Good news not hearing of deathly impact

Got a major in-person meeting happening at work end of next week (full day at a golf club's clubhouse). I imagine people will be fairly cautious but I can't say I'm totally enthused about it. I have a 15 minute speaking slot but can otherwise cower at my table behind a mask, I think.
