Netflix & Streaming Services

We are experiencing difficulties with Netflix, CBC Gem movies etc.. They play for a while and then quit . We have no idea how to fix it!!
What about other Internet services? Do you have problems watching Youtube videos (which are generally short) or accessing websites like this one? If you stream music from Spotify or Amazon Music, does that have problems?

Given that two completely unrelated services are affected, I am thinking it is your Internet connection or service provider having an intermittent issue. I know we've had our Internet being flaky on occasion of late, just brief outages of maybe 5 minutes. If it keeps up, might be worth a call to tech support to see if they can see anything from that side (they should, actually).

Depending on what type of Internet you have, rebooting the modem (the box that your cable, phone line, or whatever plugs into) might clear things up. Usually you just pull the plug but check the box first in case you've got one with a switch. Not sure what to do if you're on a wireless service (I seem to recall you're out somewhere in SK so that's a possibility). I have never used one except as backup.

Well must be the early darkness and cool nites, I find myself settling in after supper to search for yet another movie.
Last night I found a hidden gem called "Passing".
Set in the 1920's, it focuses on two black woman who could both pass for white. Each took a different approach of the situation while living in a racially prejudiced society.
One chose to live as a white woman and married a white man with whom she had a child, the other continued to live as a black woman but flirts with the idea of " what if".
Filmed in black and white, it raises many questions...and the obscure.ending seems to give you a chance to choose what you think happened.
I remember watching a similar themed movie in my youth called Imitation of Life with Lana Turner...tear jerker....but Passing of course digs alot deeper.

Regular Internet service is fine. Youtube works ok. We have rebooted a couple of times. Haven't tried streaming music. Frankly, I don't understand the system!!

I think Netflix might be having server issues the last few days. I have gotten a handful of error messages the last few days. Usually refreshing helps but yesterday it took about 15 minutes to be able to resume. Other sites were working fine at the time.

I've had no problems with Netflix. CBC another issue. In the last couple of weeks, it seems to be rando switching time zones on me, which I admit I do deliberately at times, so as to listen to more Tom and less Rich. But recently, it will do it without any contribution on my part, and I'm left scratching my head thinking didn't I hear this a little while ago?

I've been enjoying Blown Away on Netflix. It's a competition show for glass blowers. They get a challenge each week. One wins and one goes home until there's a final winner. It's amazing to see some of the things they make from glass.

We have been continuing to watch Doc Martin on Acorn. Apparently the 10 season will be the last. That's sad even if it is understandable.

I have found CBC radio to be VERY repetitive in its programming lately - morning repeats in evening ... they could at least wait long enough in between broadcasts for me to forget I've heard it!

Radio 1 or CBC music? My problem is not repetition, because I know what programs repeat when, but wyrd time glitches that seem to sort themselves out, but I think it was yesterday morning that I was listening to Tempo, my time zone, and suddenly the news came on at 11:20...

Right up the mystical Allah ... some say alley as a narrow way of escape from street knowledge ... thus recession and we're out of something or other (the alternate)! Ethereal thoughts are said essential gone when emotional crisis arises ... like the point of Eros ... a pain from the cubit! An extended square ... sometimes a Nerd? Thus over the horizon and gone down ... to counter the flat out --- from semiotics! Read into the body of signs ... clustered ... eve' & nebulae ... some say ne bu Li as dissociated and disseminated ... ancient writ? Passee ... and so we cave and vanish ... the (w)hole concern vanishes ... because of lack of grasp of consequence, results ... unknown form of philosophy deontology's opposition ... the unending ether ... mystical or naught! Seems clear to me ...

May cause tempest in the temporal regions of those desiring simply to control the entire thing without a clue ... trump' salle ... then the question of sanity Eros! Guess who the control freak stated was crazy ... and it was catching ... some say such emotions are pore, no graphics ... dark ah?

Tis a dark unseen line ... all consuming ... worries 'ome to death ... and there ... continue antes ... initiation goes on and on ... mysteriously!

We're watching "Stay Close" on Netflix. It's a British show that's creepy and intriguing. We haven't figured out who dunnit yet and we're hooked as they present more clues and information.

The storyline follows three primary characters who are tied to an incident that happened 17 years ago. We're not entirely sure what happened other than a man is missing and other men have gone missing in the years since then. Are they dead? If so, how did they die?

Is there a butler?

Perhaps that internally constructed personality disorder of not having enough and thus inside gnawing and craves?

Spiritually in essence some folks have had enough ... thus they go! Very little remains as evidence ... an impossible dream of resolution?

Totalitarianism shows all sorts of signs of being irresolvable until wasted ... thus innate elimination ... and skeletons in the wardrobe. May resemble Samson's riddle of the power syndrome ... there's a sweet bit to be learned once into it ... mystic construct. Is virtue real given the animalistic trends ... that's inhumanity ... anthropomorphic degeneration? Broken and insecure people crying for more than is needed?

Resembles governing cuts to ensure business succeeds over po' folk ... the over processing of efficiency gives all the confined to this way more baloney ... even bones may be found in the over processed product!

Few understand what is being done to thy self ... fallacy of the house is one without pillars of wisdom far beyond simple intellect! Go set a watchman they said ... then they didn't because of the race theory that was denied ... the game went on in the dark without a clue ... as folk didn't know the Classic Stuff ... past history of virtual nature.

Sensational chaos is mind blowing like snort and other sucked in stimulants ... that you bought into ... should the process of race be reconsidered for basis of what is good for the whole thing instead of an ethereal group of administrators that can't see any other point but bigger profiteering? Absolute expansion rather than expansion of the abstract (there are 7)! The adventure of the Adventist entering nous times ... other side of the matrix (as sign of enigma ... further puzzling)? May resemble an Archon ... Argo in another tradition ... and thus we are relieved of prescience for a bit ...

Recall it is all just words of Amos' parable on mercy, justice and humility ... something that just isn't here now! Justice was de humbled by a winner ... resembles Star Chamber ... a few sparks ...

In hyperbole could we invert this ... inversion therapy (th'rap ah)? Thus so many with heads buried Oz Stretch ...

Can one be permanently entombed ... Thomas' layout? In Dicken's carol the character was Scrooged on rest ... thus the essences arrived ... bad nous? Whole different theme than Charlemagne ... the need to control and avarice and all that totalitarianism without committees ... group solutions as a pool ...

Alas the Starry, Starry Night in shining armour ... Barcarole? Maybe a wisp of the chance of cards being adequately laid in effigy? Cask ETs ... should be severely packaged so as to not contaminate the commons ... don't eat it! Swallow nothing without question ... a comment buried, biblically!

Bi blows ... two winds of the demiurge ... water goes one way, air another, the stone vessel turns ... to resolve one needs to look up the star patterns ... time management? I see Robin Williams laid out in a New York Park ... one of many observations of what's up there ... so many stores to tell and read that have been lost to ... well you know! It eats up the little folk ... diminishing returns!

Waste cycle ... when things are moderated in a just ways! Piles of words? It ain't a simple solution ... the human cesspool! Consider the toxins at the head ... consequence of being top of the chain ...

We were surprised by the ending after being intrigued by the story.

Recently we have watched Don't Look Up which we found hilarious in parts but depressing overall. Also watched Harriet which blew my partner's mind. He somehow managed to get to retirement without ever becoming aware of Harriet Tubman..

Enjoying Foundation on Apple TV+ always been a fan of Asimov's works, but its been a long, long while since I read Foundation so I can't really say if this is an accurate representation; often not is the case, but it may be. It's a big strange as it keeps jumping to various time frames in the initial episodes, but then it settles more as the episodes progress. It's very well made with good acting from the cast and some very impressive CGI effects for a TV show.

I was never going to subscribe to Apple TV+ as I have enough with Netflix, Amazon, Disney+, BBC iPlayer, BritBox and the usual SKY channels, but I got 5 months free subscription through my Barclaycard, so I thought why not lol.
