I seem to be transitioning from NF to Prime, though I am still not watching much TV outside of Youtube. However, a full Prime subscription including Amazon Prime, Prime Video, and Amazon Music is cheaper than getting just Amazon Music (my current streaming service of choice) so what the hell.

Still going through it to see what I want to watch beyond the obvious (Neil Gaiman's Good Omens).

Yes it's been a good series with an interesting format. I watched the first episode of the new season yesterday. It's very current but I find myself tiring of the characters and the ever shifting timeframes.

Back to Heartland tonight.
It's a bit of a soap opera but we have been enjoying it. It's pleasant to watch with its scenery and horses.

Or just rename this one "Streaming TV and Movies" or similar? Because there's also Apple TV, Kanopy (library streaming service), CBC Gem, and so on.

How did I miss seeing RocketMan? ( a semi musical about Elton John) Reminds me of the format of Mama Mia...only using Eltons songs to aid in telling his story.
I really enjoyed it!
It has won numerous awards including an Oscar.
It can be found on Netflix.

I have kind of soured on Elton. Those Uber Eats commercials he does with Lil Nax X are so annoying. At least the ones with Patrick Stewart and Mark Hamill were kind of novel and entertaining.

We started watching a Ken Burns documentary about FDR on Kanopy last night. Looks like the usual high quality Burns coverage of an historical story (I loved Jazz and The Civil War). Not too far in yet, though. I've been battling insomnia recently and was kind of tired.

Last night I watched an international movie from Scotland called "Our Ladies". (Netflix)
Basically about a group of small town Catholic Scottish teens in the 90's, being taken to a choir singing competition in Edinburough by one of the nuns. Problem is, they're more interested in getting "shagged" by the boys in the city than winning the competition.
It may have been made for teens but I did like the way they handled one of the girls facing up to being a lesbian and other subjects.
Lots of swearing, nudity, smoking, and talk about sex....sometimes crass as some groups of teens can be.
I enjoyed it....not sure if I should be ashamed to say that because I'm not sure if I was the target audience.
Thick Scottish accents...so I had to do subtitles for the first 15 minutes to get the gist of it....then took it off.
Probably not a "guy" movie, but who knows?
Anyway, it was good to curl up to watch under a nice cozy blanket.

We are experiencing difficulties with Netflix, CBC Gem movies etc.. They play for a while and then quit . We have no idea how to fix it!!
