For me, this debate about "sameness" is simply a matter of political correctness and a need to placate. The 2 key questions are: (1) Do we focus on similarities or differences in conceptions of God? (2) Is Jesus crucial to the debate or basically irrelevant or rightly marginalized?
I'm more interested in practical questions arising from legion testimonies of Muslim converts:
(1) Why are so many Muslims converted to Christianity through visions of Jesus, and yet, they never (to my knowledge) see Muhammad in their NDEs?
(2) Given that Muslims believe Jesus is a great prophet with a virgin birth, why are so many of them convinced of His true deity through these visions, even though the Jesus of these visions does not explicitly claim divinity? This insight is apparently conveyed to them nonverbally through these visions.
(3) Why are Muslim converts blown away by the teaching that Yahweh and His Son Jesus teach us to love our enemies, bless those who curse us, and turn the other cheek?

your anecdotes? remind me of computer scientist Jacques Vallee (an homage to whom was played by Francois Truffaut in the fine movie ET: the Extra-Terrestrial) and his hobby of seriously trying to rigorously investigate the UAP/UFO phenomenon. a proper database takes resources and knowledge; proper investigation too. the database that he has created -- he still doesn't have an ontology as to what the UAP phenomenon is -- he has gone over and noticed certain patterns. there have been various different groups at different times who have tried to create databases, with differing results -- the main problem he says aboot these databases is that they are idiosyncratic -- they are difficult for people not of that group to understand. so now he is part of a group who are racing against retirement to seriously (with resources) to investigate this phenomena & try to create a rigorous database that other people can go over
so your mentioning of some people's experiences strikes me that it would be important for some kind of like database on those experiences, to avoid such problems as the various cognitive biases...collect the data as impartially as possible & then try to come up with an ontology...this would be invaluable to humanity...the word is deeply weird, bizarre things are happening that go imho beyond 'theism' & 'materialism'...what ontology can include such dyverse things as NDEs & alien abduction & strange objects falling from the sky & psi & the creation of reality itself & subjective experience?
i'm glad for things like the 'net & social media for shortening the time for people to communicate with each other -- that's why human progress was so slow in the past...carrier pigeon social media was waaaay too slow...
