The day bfore yesterday: soup thick air
Smoke coming back
Cyclopean looming clouds that just SIT crushing the air
g_d beams here and there reaching through the dirty air like skyscraper sized claws of light
Yesterday: stiff constant breeze
Shattered cloud bits against undercast
Then apologetic raindrops scanty
Then more effusive
Joyful
I enjoy getting soaked
To my skin
When I get back home I dump my stuff then go back
Into the lifegiving downpour
Az it subsides
Watch the sunset
And the ripped clouds rush past lit internally by sun
What a day.

Wishing heaps of ice
Cool breezes
Giggles with yer loved onez
To my overhot wonderfriends
(40/104???)

Remember to keep hydrated
And if u have 2 choose between u or ur plants...

I know its hot when I see cousin crow beak open panting walking in the shade and not being too shy with the naked beach apes

also glad w know that a blazar is apparently firing its load every so often at us; the fact that we're still alive means it is far enough away lol

More signs of Summer:
strangers saying "nice hat"
dayz gardening truncated to few hours b4 night
fires. around. the. arctic. circle.
insects fleeing indoors for release from heat
ants boiling on sidewalks
every. day. is. a. slow. news. day.
sleeping in odd positions
every night seeing at least three bright planets.
stores more crowded at night.
everyone of all types with icecream

Another summer thing: how blessed a couple of rainy days feel during a long period of drought. Rumour has it that it's supposed to be a dry hot August, as well.

More signs of Summer:
Sun
Baked
Blackberries
Just waiting to be plucked and savoured, slowly melting in mouth like warm blackberry pie
(also more instances of domesticated primates braving the thorns to get at the tasty morsels b4 the birds etc eat them all)
Blessed be.

More Signs of Summer:
The first robin of the morning
Walking through Himalayan Balsam
Licking off raspberry jooce from skin
Watching a cloud slowly disappear with @Nutmeg
Swimming in the ice cold river waters

Cherries and apricots are ripening: a sure sign of high summer. Alas, it has been a cool and wet summer so far here in the Okanagan. Cherries are splitting and are discounted at the fruit stands and orchards. Good time to make cherry cider.

Hello, Hermann! How's things with you?

Mmmm. Cherries. Our cherry season is closer to August. Haven't heard how things are faring down in Niagara.

Signs of summer: Ape looking like he just took a shower ... before taking a shower (I appear to have some degree of hyperhydrosis).

Hello Mendalla: Two years ago my wife and I moved to a basement suite in our granddaughters house on a steep lot overlooking Kal Lake. I am establishing a small orchard and vegetable garden here, which is quite a challenge on a steep slope. Apart from growing fruits, berries, and vegetables, we are taking care of our two little great-grandsons.

Sounds like a pretty good life, @Hermann. Nothing much changed around here. I think you knew Little M had moved away for university (three years ago). He's working full time on a co-op placement for this year, then finishing his degree next year. Mrs. M is nearing retirement. All three of us work from home right now due to COVID, though I am slated to return to the office in September.
