This historical atrocity is not classified under the modern legal definition of a "terrorist attack,"

In 1755 The British military - because the Acadians who refused to sign an unconditional oath of allegiance to the British King, chose instead to maintain their neutrality during the Anglo-French conflicts - led a campaign of state-sponsored violence and forced removal that (I can only imagine), caused immense terror and devastation to the Acadian population.

It's getting so people are going to be afraid to talk out loud at all in this mad mad world.

Ontario’s a reminder. It’s Indigenous in origin, tied to the land and water long before Canada existed.
